New India Assurance Assistant vacancies 2014:

There are 1536 Assistant vacancies in total and you can find the Category-wise break-up of the vacancy in the table at right. As you can see, there is a huge number of jobs available and hence you have a good chance of getting one.

You can find the State-wise break-up of the vacancy in page-2 of the notification. 
This is very important. Why?
Because, while applying for the Insurance Assistants job, you can apply only against a particular state.
Also, because you have to know (read, write and speak) the regional language of that state.

Salary for the Insurance Assistants:

New India Assurance is offering the Assistants salary in the pay-scale of Rs. 7640-440(1)-8080-480(2)-9040-540(5)-11740-625(2)-12990-760(3)-15270- 790(2)-16850-840(5)-21050. With this pay-scale, monthly salary is approx. Rs. 15,000/- p.m. in Metros.

Eligibilities Required:

Age Eligibilities (as on 30.06.2014):
Min: 18 years, Max. 30 years.
(DOB not earlier than 1st July 1984 and not later than 30th June 1996,  both dates inclusive).
Relaxations exists as per Govt. rule.

Educational qualification eligibilities for Assistants:
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University OR
Passed Class-XII with Min 60% marks (50% for reserved categories).

Also you should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/ HSC/ Intermediate/ Graduation level
Knowledge of Regional Language of that state against which you want to apply is essential.

New India Assurance Assistant Recruitment 2014 Application Form:
Application fee is Rs. 500/= (Rs. 50/= for SC/ST/PWD/FEMALE candidates).

Call Letters for written exam:
The NIA Assistant Exam 2015 is scheduled to be held on 17th, 18th and 24th January, 2015. You have to download the Admit card/Call letter for the same from this NIA website.
Intimation for downloading call letter will also be sent through email/SMS.

Important dates:
Last date for Online registration: 10th November, 2014.
Downloading of call letters for exam: From 10 days before the date of exam (say from 07.01.2015)
Date of New India Assurance Assistant Exam 2015: 17th, 18th and 24th January, 2015 (Tentative)
