Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently published RBI Officer Recruitment 2015 Notification for 134 Officers in Grade-B. As per this notification, submission of application form has began from 5th October and the last date for submission of online form is 23rd October, 2015. The RBI Officers Exam 2015 would be held on 21st, 22nd November, 2015.

But first, what is RBI?
RBI is the central bank of India, established on April 1, 1935 through Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. Although initially privately owned, the RBI has been fully owned by the Government of India since nationalization in 1949.
The Preamble of the Reserve Bank of India describes the basic functions of the Reserve Bank as to regulate the issue of Bank Notes and keeping of reserves with a view to securing monetary stability in India and generally to operate the currency and credit system of the country to its advantage.

Category wise break-up of Officer vacancy position in RBI is : SC: 15; ST: 13; OBC: 39; GEN: 67; Total: 134.
DOB should not be earlier than 02/10/1985 and not later than 01/10/1994 (both days including)
Salary Offer for RBI Officers
Gross salary being offered by RBI for Grade ‘B’ Officer job is approximately Rs.5 4,970//-per month, apart from other perquisites. The pay-scale of RBI Officers in Grade-B is Rs. 21000-1000-30000-EB-1000-32000-1100-36400.
Eligibility required for RBI Officers:
Age eligibility:
Min: 21 yrs, Max: 30 yrs as on 01.10.2015.DOB should not be earlier than 02/10/1985 and not later than 01/10/1994 (both days including)
Age relaxations exist for SC/ST/OBC candidates as well as for candidates with higher qualifications/experience. Refer section: 2 (a) Age of the RBI job notification.
Academic qualification eligibility:
Minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations

The selection process consists of a two phase exam -
Phase -I: Online Exam (Objective type): 200 marks, 2 hours: on November 21 & 22, 2015.
Phase -II: Offline Exam (Descriptive type): 300 marks, 1.5 hours: in December 7, 2015.

Call letter/Admission Letters for RBI Officer exam 2015:
You have to download the call letter (called as Admission Letters by RBI) for the written exam which should be available in RBI website. The date for downloading the Call letter/Admit Card would be sent to your e-mail as well as SMS. So keep checking your mail box nearer exam time.
