CSIR UGC NET June 2016 Date has been announced just yesterday through the advertisement notification 10-2(5)/2016(i) - E.U.II and along with it, CSIR has also made available the Application Form for CSIR UGC NET June 2016. If you meet the eligibilities given below, this is the great chance to go for either Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or for Lectureship. The Application Form would be available from 5th February to 1st March, 2016.
Introduction to CSIR-UGC NET:
CSIR NET is your gateway for two kinds of very prestigious jobs - as a lecturer in the Indian universities/colleges as well as to receive Junior Research Fellowships (UGC/CSIR) under various schemes. Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts this exam for five major science subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
The NET stands for National Eligibility Test and you guessed it correct - it is a held at national level. CSIR conducts this exam in association with UGC (University Grants Commission) and that's how the full acronym comes as CSIR-UGC NET. This exam is held twice a year (in mid-June & mid-December). How much do you earn as a CSIR NET JRF:
First two years: Stipend Rs 25000/ p.m. In addition, annual contingent grant of Rs. 20,000/- per fellow to the University / Institution. Stipend for the 3rd and subsequent years is Rs. 28000/- p.m. You can read more about this here.
How much do you earn as a Lecturer after clearing CSIR NET:
You would get salary according to the sixth pay commission. The pay-scale is Rs. 15600 - 39100 with Grade pay Rs. 6600/-.

For Reserved categories: :Minimum 50% marks in above qualification.
If you are a Ph.D. degree holder (with minimum 50% marks), having passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991, you are eligible to to apply for Lectureship only.

Eligibility criteria of CSIR-UGC NET (qualification & age criteria) are as follows:
1.0 Educational Qualification criteria:
For General & OBC: Minimum 55% marks in BS-4 years Program/ BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/MSc or equivalent degreeFor Reserved categories: :Minimum 50% marks in above qualification.
If you are a Ph.D. degree holder (with minimum 50% marks), having passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991, you are eligible to to apply for Lectureship only.
If you are studying in the final year/semester of M.Sc. or Equivalent degree in above subjects or have appeared in the final exams already and waiting for results, you can appear in the CSIR NET conditionally under RA (Result Awaited) category.
For Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET: Max. 28 years
(Upper age limit relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, PH and female applicants).
For Lectureship LS (NET): No upper age limit.
Above eligibility means if you are 28 years or younger, you can apply for both Lectureship as well as for JRF while if you are more than 28, you can apply only for Lectureship.
