Exam Pattern of CSIR-UGC NET:
CSIR-UGC NET consists of only one paper which has three parts: Part-A, Part-B, Part-C. The total marks in the exam is 200 marks which needs to be answered in 3 hours.
Part-A is common to all while Part-B & C is subject specific. While new exam pattern of each of the six CSIR NET subject is given below, you can find the exam pattern of previous CSIR NET exams in this link.
CSIR NET Part-A:
As said, there is some very minor change in Part-A i.e. General Aptitude of CSIR NET.
Existing Syllabus: General Science, Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis and Research Aptitude.
Revised Syllabus: General Aptitude with emphasis On logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.
Other than above, mark distribution within the paper remains same - there are 20 questions in the paper, out of which you have to answer any 15. Each question weighs 2 mark - thus there are 30 marks in Part-A (General Aptitude) of CSIR NET.
