Last date for submission of online form for GATE 2014 is over on 3rd October, 2013 and with this has come down the curtain for those of you who did not apply for it, to get jobs through GATE 2014. This year, twelve PSU organisations have issued recruitment notifications to offer jobs through GATE 2014. This blog post provides you the list these PSU jobs through GATE 2014, giving you not only the names of those organisations, but also date of submission of application forms and which branches  are eligible to apply.

For your information, last year thirteen PSU organisations had issued notification to recruit through GATE 2013 and the list of these PSUs were: HPCL, GAIL, Power Grid, BPCL, MECL, BHEL, DDA, NTPC, BEL & IOCL, NALCO, CONCOR & MECON.

PSU in bold fonts above are the ones which is going to recruit through GATE 2014 again, so may be you can expect them to recruit again in 2015.

As the last date for submission of online form for GATE 2014 draws near (Enrollment: 1st October, 2013), I could count 12 PSU organisations who are going to recruit through GATE 2014.

As this list is growing with every passing day, I am posting exclusive articles with details of information on the recruitment by PSU as you can find above. This list is going to be updated on continuous basis as the new notification emerges.

Which branches can apply for which PSU jobs through GATE 2014:

Not all the PSU organisations recruits candidates from all the engineering subjects. So which PSU is recuiting from which branches? You can find the color chart given below. For instance, if you are from Chemical engineering, at present you can apply for IOCL, NFL, GAIL & BPCL - see the green patches for that branch.

As you can see above, Mechanical & Electrical engineering are the most favored branch by PSU recruiting through GATE. 

One note of caution: while compiling the chart above, I have included only the main engineering branch. For example, for PGCIL - I have shown only Electrical engineering where as in notification you can find that PGCIL is going for B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) in   Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering. So you should go through the notification of the individual PSU for complete details.
