With an employee strength of 65651 & 6116 offices/business centers, these four PSU Insurance Companies are present in each and every nook and corner of India. In last FY (2012-13), total Premium Income generated by these four insurance companies together is about Rs.35000 crores.
Combined Insurance Admin Officer Exam 2013:
This is the age of convergence - specially with regard to recruitment or entrance exams in India. Just like all 21 PSU banks are these days conducting Common Written Exam (CWE) through IBPS for Bank PO & Clerks, the four general insurance companies of India have also got together from this year for Common Written Exam (CWE).
As told in the beginning of the article, for the post of Insurance Assistants, Common Written Exam has already been held on 14th July, 2013. So Common Written Exam for Admin Officer Recruitment is a natural corollary to it. But please note that only the written exam part has been made common – you still have to appear for GD/Interview & Computer Proficiency Test for each insurance company separately.

The General Insurance Companies are offering Insurance Admin Officers salary in the Pay-Scale: Rs.17,240-840(14)-29,000-910(4)-32640. With this pay-scale, total salary for an Insurance Admin Officers in a metro is Rs.34,000/- plus per month approximately.
Selection Process for Admin Officers through Recruitment 2013:
The selection process for Insurance Admin Officer consists of the common recruitment exam, followed by a Interview.
The written exam consists of a 3-hour, 150 marks Objective & Descriptive type question paper which has test sections: Reasoning, GK, Numerical Ability & Computer Literacy, Objective English, Descriptive English and Specialist paper. Eligibility for Insurance Admin Officers in General Insurance Companies:
Age eligibility: (as on 31/07/2013)
Minimum Age: 21 years; Maximum Age: 30 years. Age relaxations exists as per Govt. rule.
Academic Qualification eligibility:
For Admin Officer (Generalist): Graduate from a recognized University
For Admin Officer (Specialist): Graduate from a recognized University in specific discipline as given in "5. Educational Qualification" in page-3 of the notification.

Insurance Admin Officers Exam 2013 would be held in 42 city/town as given in "10. Examination Centers" in page-5 of the notification.
For Admin Officer (Specialist): Graduate from a recognized University in specific discipline as given in "5. Educational Qualification" in page-3 of the notification.

Insurance Admin Officers Exam 2013 would be held in 42 city/town as given in "10. Examination Centers" in page-5 of the notification.
