IOB has become the 3rd bank to tie-up with Manipal Global Education Services Pvt. Ltd (MaGE), Bangalore to launch such School of Banking. This process was initiated by ICICI through ICICI Manipal Academy

Bank of Baroda has followed ICICI in this mode of PO recruitment and has tied up with Manipal School of Banking for PO program called Baroda Manipal School of Banking

So IOB is the third bank while setting up IOB Manipal School of Banking (IOBMSB) to recruit PO on the lines of ICICI &
Bank of Baroda. Let us know about this program in a nutshell.
What is IOB Manipal (IOBMSB) PO Program:
IOBMSB PO program is targeted as a finishing school program for the freshers with a graduate degree. After being selected in the
IOBMSB PO exam, you would have to undergo a 1-year training program which consists of two parts:
9 months training at IOB Manipal School of Banking, Bangalore.
3 months internship at IOB bank branches.
On successful completion of this 1-year PO program, you would be awarded a PG Diploma in Banking & Finance (PGDBF) by Manipal University and would be absorbed as Probationary Officers in Indian Overseas Bank.
The program is however not free - the course fee of Rs.3.30 lakh. However soft education loan is being offered by IOB and the EMI would start only after you join IOB as a PO. Also, IOB pays you stipend during the 1 year training: Rs. 2500/- during 9 months of class room training & Rs. 10,000/- during 3 months of Internship.
Salary offered by IOB after IOBMSB PO Program:
IOB offers Probationary Officers salary in following pay-scale:
Rs 14500 - 600 /7 – 18700 - 700/2 - 20100 - 800/7 - 25700 plus other benefits.
With this pay-scale, IOB PO salary is approx Rs. 3.50 lakhs per annum in a metro.
IOBMSB PO Selection process:
IOBMSB PO Exam 2013 consist of a 200 marks Online test consisting of Test of Reasoning, English, Quantitative Aptitude, GK & Computer Knowledge. The candidates selected in the IOB PO exam would be called for a 50 mark Interview.

IOBMSB PO 2013 Vacancy:
As said in the beginning of the article, there are 480 Probationary Officer vacancies, with category-wise break up as below
SC: 72; ST: 36; OBC: 129; GEN: 243; TOT: 480.
Eligibility required for IOBMSB PO 2013 Exam:
(as on 01.09.2013)
Min: 20 years, Max: 28 years.
Age relaxations exists as per Govt rule.
Academic Qualification eligibility
: (as on 01.09.2013)
Min: 60% (for SC/ST/PC category: 55%) in Graduation from a recognised University/Institution.
IOBMSB PO 2013 Exam Online Form:
You can apply for the IOBMSB PO Exam only through online application form. The application fee is Rs.500.00 for General / OBC candidates and Rs. 50.00 for others. Please go through section: "11. How To Apply" in page-6 of the notification. Also go through "Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph & Signature" in page-9.
