This blog post follows my earlier article on UPSSSC Junior Assistant Recruitment 2016 and has been posted to provide you the prep materials for the UPSSSC Junior Assistant Exam 2016 - the Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Papers & Books.
Let me tell you in the very outset that as much as 30% of over all marks is based on your educational qualification as you can see in the selection process given below. Hence if you do not score good marks based on your qualification, you have to really try very hard to crack the UPSSSC Junior Assistant Exam.
Written Exam: 40 Marks.
Educational Qualification: 30 Marks.
Skilled Players: 5 Marks.
Interview: 25 Marks
Total: 100 Marks
In addition to above, there will be Typing Test which will be qualifying in nature i.e. there will be no mark for the Typing Test for preparing the merit list.
Marks for Educational Qualification & Sports:
How would the marks for Educational Qualification and Skilled Players be given?
You can find the same in the table below.
For example, if you are a graduate who scored more than 60% in graduation (10 marks), scored more than 60% in Intermediate (20 marks) and also you are an International level player (5 marks), you will have 35 marks in total from these two components of the selection process.
As you can see in above Pattern of UPSSSC Junior Assistant Exam 2016, there are maximum marks for the Hindi Language test. So keep this in mind while preparing for this exam.
Hindi Language:
The questions will be asked from the candidates to test their knowledge of Hindi Language and comprehension and writing ability.
General Intelligence Test:
The purpose of this is the ability to test the candidate’s understanding of a new situation, analyze and identify its various elements. Questions in this test will be based on the Understanding and explore instructions, relationships, similarities, consistent, conclusions and actions etc.
Note:
Questions may ask from the following Topics : Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.
General Knowledge :
This part of question paper is to assess the candidates’ ability regarding general knowledge about his/her surroundings and about its use in society. In this test such a question which will be kept to check current events and everyday science and the facts of experience which may include historical and geographical facts. (Specially Related to India) and judged them to the knowledge of the scientific aspects, which can be expected of any educated person.
Note:
Question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy etc. Focus will be on Current national & International events, banking, sports etc.
Typing Test for UPSSSC Junior Assistant Exam:
As said, there will be Typing Test for Junior Assistants for following typing speeds:
English 30 w.p.m
Hindi 25 w.p.m.
This will be qualifying nature only.
