While searching on the net for an instant answer, I found that while the list of both these two piece of information (i.e. list of Best Engineering Colleges and the list of Engineering Entrance Exams) are available, I could not find anywhere the missing link between these two information - i.e. what are the names of entrance exams which enables you to take admissions in the best engineering colleges in India? So I spent three full days in preparing the content of this article.

This blog post gives you the list of the best colleges and than points you to the names of the entrance exam or the admission procedures for them. Hope Udit and students like him finds the information useful.

Without taking time further, lets find the names of these colleges first.

List of the Best Engineering Colleges has always been a controversial one, as the survey down by one entity (say by India Today) vastly differs with others (say Outlook), because of different methodology adopted by them in ranking the colleges as well as because of participation by some colleges in one entities survey while refusing to participate in  survey done by others.

Therefore, I had resorted to choosing the best engineering colleges as given by Wikipedia. The reason I adopted is because it has taken into survey done by multiple surveying organisations - eight to be precise: Outlook, India Today, Dataquest, The Week, Times Engineering, The Mint, Shiksha.com & Collegedunia.com.

The list prepared by Wiki consists of 80 best engineering colleges and hence you have a number of colleges to choose from.
