NHPC GATE 2015 Recruitment: Dates, Branches & Form

NHPC (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation), just like the last year, has this time also published the Notification for Recruitment of Trainee Engineers through GATE 2015. But unlike last year, the number of vacancy is less - 87 this time, compared to 150 last year. Also NHPC GATE 2015 Recruitment is open for Electrical Engineering only, while last year, the recruitment was done for Mechanical,Civil & Electrical Engineering. Dates for submission of online form for NHPC recruitment through GATE 2015 is from 1st January to 31st January.

But as you know already, you have to apply for GATE 2015 first (you can do it even now, as the dates for GATE 2015 form submission has been extended  upto 14th October, 2014). Why? because you have to use the GATE 2015 registration number while submitting NHPC Online Form.

Eligible branches for  NHPC GATE 2015 Recruitment:

Electrical Engineering
(including Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Power Systems & High Voltage/Power Engineering)

The qualification should be a full time regular Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree from recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE OR AMIE (enrolled before 31.05.2013).

Minimum qualifying mark is: 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Maximum age (as on 01.04.2015): 30 years

GATE 2015 papers for NHPC ET Recruitment:

You have to appear in "EE" i.e. Electrical Engineering paper of GATE 2015 to take part in this NHPC recruitment process.

The online form this NHPC recruitment would be available in this NHPC Recruitment website.

As said, the form would be available from 1st January to 31st January.

Salary offered by NHPC for Trainee Engineers:
NHPC is offering salary to the trainee engineers in Industrial Dearness Allowances (IDA) pay-scale of Rs. 20600-3%-46500.

Important Dates for NHPC GATE-2015 Recruitment:

Last date of Submission of form for GATE 2015: 14th October, 2014.
GATE 2015 Online Exam: 31st January, 1st, 7th, 8th and 14th February, 2015
Date of GATE 2015 Results: 12th March 2015 (17:00 Hrs)
Date for submission of NHPC Online form: 1st January to 31st January.
