This blog post of mine is an encapsulation of the IFFCO notification. In another blog post titled: IFFCO AGT Exam Pattern, Sample papers & Books I would provide you the prep materials to prepare for IFFCO AGT written test.
But first, a small primer on IFFCO as an organisation for introduction.
What is IFFCO:
IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative Ltd.) is the world’s largest fertiliser cooperative federation having close to 40,000 member cooperatives, spread all over India. Founded on 3rd November, 1967, IFFCO had a humble beginning with just 57 cooperatives in 1967, which has multiplied now to 39,824 at present.
It has four fertiliser plants: Kalol & Kandla in Gujrat and Aonla & Phulpur in UP. In 2005, IFFCO also acquired fertiliser unit at Paradeep in Orissa. As a result of the expansion projects and acquisitions, IFFCO's annual capacity has been increased to 3.69 million tonnes of Urea and NPK/DAP equivalent to 1.71 million tonnes. In 2008-09, IFFOC contributed to 21.4% of country’s total nitrogenous fertiliser production and 27% of total phosphatic fertiliser production.

IFFCO AGT Vacancy 2014:
IFFCO in its notification has not specified how many vacancies open branch-wise. So I would look out for this info and post it here as soon as I can spot it.
Salary for IFFCO AGT:
For AGT positions, the stipend during the training period is about Rs. 28,000/- p.m. On successful completion of one year’s training they are offered salary in the pay Scale of Rs.15000-26250, with other benefits.
Where are you likely to be posted as an AGT:
IFFCO is going to place these Agriculture Graduate Trainee (AGT) for its Field Offices located in the States of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu & Kerala.
What are Eligibility required for IFFCO AGT :
Age Eligibility:
Max 28 yrs as on 01.10.2014. (Relaxations SC/ST: 5 yrs & OBC – non creamy: 3 years)
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
1.0 You should have passed B.Sc. (Agriculture) Full Time Regular Degree in 2011 and thereafter.
2.0 Minimum of 60% marks (For SC/ST 55%) in each semester in B.Sc (Agriculture) degree.
Two Years M.Sc. (Agriculture) Full Time Regular Degree can also apply but you must have passed M.Sc. (Agri.) degree in the year 2013 & 2014 and also fulfilled the criteria prescribed for B.Sc. (Agri.) qualification as given above.
The above qualifications should be from the UGC recognized University/Institute.
Knowledge Of Language:
You must be able to read, write and speak knowledge of the regional language of the State for which application is made (one or more than one language). Knowledge of Hindi is also desirable.
Selection process for AGT in IFFCO:
Selection process for Agriculture Graduate Trainees in IFFCO consists of a two-stage test to be conducted both online – Preliminary Online test & Final Online test. While you can appear from anywhere with an Internet connection for appearing in Preliminary Online test, the final test of IFFCO AGT exam 2014 would be held only at pre-determined venues.
Those who are short listed based on Final test would be called for personal Interview. More about the selection process in my subsequent blog article titled: IFFCO AGT Exam Pattern, Sample papers & Books.
IFFCO AGT Recruitment 2014 Online Form:
You can apply only online for Agriculture Graduate Trainee positions in IFFCO. There is no offline form.
