This is the most opportune time for those job aspirants, as IBPS has issued the notification for the 3rd IBPS CWE RRB Exam, which is scheduled to be held in September, 2014, last date of registration for which is 9th July, 2014. The first question which comes to these bank job aspirants is: Am I eligible?

Although this article is being written on the eve of IBPS CWE RRB 2014, even the future job aspirants can also benefit from this info, as the eligibility (baring the date for age and qualification) is hardly going to change.
Of the vacancies announced for this exam, for the posts of Office Assistants and Scale-I Officers, even the fresher’s can apply. For the other positions, you need to have the experience as given against the posts. Without wasting time further, let us know what are these eligibilities.
Eligibility for IBPS CWE RRB Office Assistants:
Age (as on 01.06.2014): Between 18 years and 28 years (DOB not earlier than 02.06.1986 and not later than 01.06.1996 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualifications:
1.0 Degree in any discipline or its equivalent
2.0 Essential: Proficiency in local language.
3.0 Desirable: Computer Knowledge.
Eligibility for IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-I:
Age (as on 01.06.2014): Min 18 years - Max 28 years (DOB not earlier than 03.06.1986 and not later than 31.05.1996 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualifications:
1.0 Degree in any discipline or its equivalent.
Preference for candidates with degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
2.0 Essential: Proficiency in local language.
3.0 Desirable: Computer Knowledge.
Language Proficiency for Officer Scale I and Office Assistants:
To apply for these fresher level positions in the IBPS CWE RRB, you should have –
a. Local language at 10thStd level OR
b. Native language at 10thStd level OR
c. Local language at any level upto graduation.
The local language for above purpose is the local language of the State / UT in which the RRB is located.
This eligibility condition does not apply for the posts of Officer Scale II and III.
Eligibility for IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer):
Age (as on 01.06.2014): Min 21 years - Max 32 years (DOB not earlier than 03.06.1982 and not later than 31.05.1993 (both dates inclusive).
Qualification/Experience requirement:
1.0 Two years Experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
2.0 Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Degree in any discipline or its equivalent.
Preference for candidates with degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
Eligibility for IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers):
Age (as on 01.06.2014): Min 21 years - Max 32 years (DOB not earlier than 03.06.1982 and not later than 31.05.1993 (both dates inclusive).
Qualification/Experience requirement for Specialist Officers:
Information Technology Officer:
1.0 One year Experience.
2.0 Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent.
Desirable:
Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.
Chartered Accountant:
1.0 One year Experience.
2.0 Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Law Officer:
1.0 Two years as an advocate or as a Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions.
2.0 Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Degree in Law or its equivalent.
Treasury Manager:
1.0 One year Experience.
2.0 Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or MBA in Finance.
Marketing Officer:
1.0 One year Experience.
2.0 MBA in Marketing.
Agricultural Officer:
1.0 Two years Experience.
2.0 Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture.
Eligibility for IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-III:
Age (as on 01.06.2014): Min 21 years - Max 40 years (DOB not earlier than 03.06.1974 and not later than 31.05.1993 (both dates inclusive).
1.0 Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.
2.0 Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Degree in any discipline.
Preference for candidates with degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
All the above qualifications should be from a recognized University and candidates should possess the qualifications as on the last date of Online Registration i.e. 09.07.2014).
