Food & Civil Supplies Department of Punjab has recently issued Recruitment Notification 2013 for recruitment of 461 Food Inspectors. If you are a graduate with Punjabi Language subject upto Matric standard, than you can apply for this Govt. of Punjab job. Submission of online form has already started and last date of submission of application form is 9th November, 2013.

Punjab FCS Food Inspector Vacancy 2013:

There are a total of of 461 Food Inspectors vacancy in Food & Civil Supplies Department of Punjab. You can find the category-wise break up of these vacancies in the table at right.

Punjab FCS Food Inspector Salary:

Salary offered for these Food Inspector positions is in the Pay Scale of Rs. 10300 - Rs. 34800 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200 and Initial Pay of Rs. 16290.  

Selection Process for Punjab FCS Food Inspector Recruitment 2013:

The selection process consists of a written exam only and there is no Interview. The exam consists of 150 questions to be answered in 150 minutes. More about this in my subsequent blog article titled: FCS Punjab Food Inspector Exam Pattern, Papers & Books.

Eligibility for Punjab FCS Food Inspector Recruitment 2013:

Age Eligibility: (as on 01.01.2013)

a) General : 18 to 38 years 

b) SC/BC : 18 to 43 years 

c) Widows, Divorcees and certain other categories of women : 18 to 42 years 

d) Applicants who are already in Government Service : 18 to 45 years 

e) Physically Handicapped : 18 to 48 years.

Educational Qualification Eligibility: (as on 30.09.2013) 

a) Minimum graduation from a recognized University or an Institution or its equivalent and 

b) You should have passed Punjabi Language subject upto Matric standard. 

However in case of Ex-servicemen, riot victims/ terrorist victims or their dependents, the person, if selected, will have to pass Punjabi examination of Matriculation standard within six months from the date of joining the service, if not having the requisite qualification already. 

As given above, you must have possessed the qualification on or before 30.09.2013. So final year students can not apply for this exam.
