There are a total of 279 Cabinet Secretariat Vacancy in this recruitment. As per the notification, online submission of form has already began and the last date to submit form is 17th April, 2013. What is Cabinet Secretariat:
Cabinet Secretariat is the power house in India - under the direct charge of the Prime Minister, it is responsible for the administration of the Govt. of India.
Situated on Raisina Hill, New Delhi, Cabinet Secretariat Building consists of two buildings: the North Block and the South Block.
The South Block houses the Prime Minister Office, Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of External Affairs.
The North Block houses the Ministry of Finance and the Home Ministry.
Both the buildings flank the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Secretariat assists in decision-making in Government by ensuring Inter-Ministerial coordination, ironing out differences amongst Ministries/ Departments and evolving consensus through the instrumentality of the standing/ adhoc Committees of Secretaries.

Cabinet Secretariat is offering salary in following pay-scales for the positions of Research Officer, Deputy Field Officer, Personal Assistant & Stenographer:
Salary for Research Officer:PB-2 Rs.9300-34,800 Grade pay Rs. 4800/= + Special allowance of 15% of basic pay.
Salary for Deputy Field Officer:PB-2 Rs.9300-34,800 Grade pay Rs. 4200/= + Special allowance of 15% of basic pay.
Salary for Personal Assistant: PB-2 Rs.9300-34,800 Grade pay Rs. 4600/= + Special allowance of 15% of basic pay.
Salary for Stenographer: PB- 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- + Special allowance of 15% of basic pay.
Eligibility for Research Officer (Economics):
Age: (as on 1.1.2013): Max 30 years. (DOB not before 02.01.1983)
Academic Qualification Eligibility: Honours or PG degree in Economics or Commerce.
Eligibility for Deputy Field Officer (Tele):
Age: (as on 1.1.2013): Max 30 years. (DOB not before 02.01.1983)
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
Degree in Science Physics and Maths (studied for all the three years) or B.Sc(Hons) in Physics (with Maths for the first two years) OR
3 Years Diploma in Telecom or Radio Engineering or Electronics or Electronics and Telecom OR
Bachelor in Computer Science or Computer Applications or equivalent Diploma OR
Certificate of proficiency class-II (Radio Electronics) examination conducted by The Ministry of Communications.
Age: (as on 1.1.2013): Max 30 years. (DOB not before 02.01.1983)
Academic Qualification Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree.

Academic Qualification Eligibility:
i) Bachelor’s Degree.
ii) Skill Test Norms. Dictation: 10 minutes @ 100 w.p.m. Transcription: 45 minutes (English), 60 minutes (Hindi) (on computer only)
Eligibility for Stenographer:
Age: (as on 1.1.2013): Min: 18 years. Max 30 years. (DOB not before 02.01.1986 & not later than 01.01.1995)
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
i) Class-XII pass.
ii) Skill Test Norms. Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m. Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi) (on computer only)
All the qualifications should be from a recognized Institution or University or Board.
Cabinet Secretariat Recruitment 2013 Selection Process:
Selection Process for Cabinet Secretariat Recruitment 2013 will consists of 3 tiers:
Tier-I (Objective type for screening purpose only): 200 marks,
Tier-II (Descriptive type for merit): 300 marks,
Tier-III: Interview: 60 marks.
