This blog post tries to summarize this notification by quoting the relevant information, so that even the future Prasar Bharati Examinees can know about what are the Eligibility & how to apply for SSC Prasar Bharati Exam 2013.

SSC Prasar Bharati Vacancy 2013:
There are a total of 1290 Engineering Assistant vacancies in AIR & DD with zone-wise, category-wise breakup as given in the table at right.
Similarly there are a total of 340 Technician vacancies in AIR & DD, with zone-wise, category-wise breakup as given in the table at left.
Salary for Prasar Bharati Engineering Assistant & Technicians:

Prasar Bharati is offering salary in the pay scale: Rs.9300--Rs.34800/-(plus Grade Pay 4200/-) in Pay Band-2 for the Engineering Assistant positions.
For the Technician positions, salary offered by Prasar Bharati is in the pay scale: Rs.5,200--Rs.20,200/-(plus Grade Pay 2400/-) in Pay Band-1.

Eligibility for Prasar Bharati Engineering Assistant positions::
Age Eligibility: (as on 01/01/2013)
Max: 30 yrs.
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
3-years Diploma in Radio/ Telecommunication/ Electrical/Electronics/ Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering + 1-year experience in the related field
OR Degree with Physics as one of the subjects + 1-year experience in the related field.
OR Degree in Engineering in the relevant field (as mentioned above for Diploma)
Qualifications should be from a recognized University/Institute.

Class-XII pass from a recognized Board + 2 years Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Selection Process for Prasar Bharati Combined Recruitment Exam 2013 consists of a 400 mark written exam (200 marks Objective type Paper & 200 marks Descriptive type Paper) followed by 100 mark Interview for Engineering Assistant position. Prasar Bharati Exam 2013 Application Fee:
There is no application fee for SC/ST /Ex-Servicemen/PH and all women candidates.
For others, the application fee is Rs. 200/- to be paid through SBI either in the form of Challan or net banking.

You can apply for these Prasar Bharati (i.e. AIR & DD) Engineering Assistant & Technician positions only through Online Form. There is no Offline application form.

You are supposed to receive Admit card (also called as Admission Certificates) for Prasar Bharati Combined Recruitment Exam 2013 from the respective SSC regional office 2-weeks before exam date i.e. you should receive the admit card by around 12th May, 2013. You can also download the Prasar Bharati Exam 2013 Admit Card from the the respective SSC regional office.
If you have neither received the admit card nor you could download the Prasar Bharati Exam 2013 Admit Card one week before exam date (say around 19th May, 2013), please contact the concerned SSC Regional Office with details such as Registration ID, Transaction ID for the duplicate admit card.
