BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre) has last week issued Recruitment Notification 2013 for 205 vacancies: 3 Pharmacist, 12 Hospital Work Assistant & 190 Work Assistants. These positions are for medical department (i.e. hospital duties) of BARC. While the submission of form online has already began from 2nd February, 2013, last date for application for this BARC Recruitment 2013 is 23rd February, 2013.

What is BARC?

BARC was founded in 1954 as Atomic Energy Establishment, Trombay (AEET). After the death of its illustrious pioneer Homi J. Bhabha's in 1966, the centre was renamed as the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

BARC is the primary nuclear research centre of India and its scope of research extends diverse fields like nuclear reactor design and installation, fuel fabrication, chemical processing of depleted fuel.

BARC Assistant Vacancies 2013:

As said, there are a total of 205 vacancies: 3 Pharmacist, 12 Hospital Work Assistant & 190 Work Assistants. You can find the post-wise category-wise  break-up of BARC Assistant Vacancies 2013 as given in the table at left..

BARC Assistant Salary:

BARC offers salary in following pay-scales::
For Pharmacist:
Pay scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade pay: Rs. 2800/- (Approx salary p.m.: Rs. 25699/-).
For Hospital Work Assistant:
Pay scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade pay: Rs. 1800/- (Approx salary p.m.: Rs. 15172/-).
For Work Assistants:
Pay scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade pay: Rs. 1800/- (Approx salary p.m.: Rs. 15172/-).

BARC Assistant Eligibility:

Age Eligibility: (as on as on 23/02/2013)

For Pharmacist: Min: 18 yrs, Max: 25 yrs.
For Assistant: Min: 18 yrs, Max: 27 yrs.
Age relaxations exists as per Govt. rule.

Educational Qualification Eligibility:

For Pharmacist:
Class-XII + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months training in Pharmacy + Registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council.

For Assistant:
Class-X pass.

BARC Assistant  Selection process:

The selection process for BARC Assistant consists of a written test followed by Interview. The written exam consist of  75 marks to be answered in 1 1/2-hour.

For BARC Assistant recruitment, you have to apply through Online Application Form. Post submission of the online application form, you do not need to send the printout of the form  by post.
