Corporation Bank has just yesterday issued the Recruitment Notification 2012 for a huge vacancy of 1550 Clerks. Named as Single Window Operators ‘A’ by Corp Bank, shortlisting for interview for this clerk recruitment would be based on IBPS Common Written Exam 2011 for Clerks. Online submission of form has started from yesterday (12th June, 2012) and the last date to apply online for Corporation Bank Clerk Recruitment 2012 is  26th June, 2012.

This recruitment notification by Corp Bank is the tenth in a row (that too in quick succession) for clerk recruitment  in 2012 - previously nine other major PSU banks of India had issued advertisements for 10,933 clerk vacancies, details of which can be found in my following dedicated blog articles:

Andhra Bank: 600 clerks,
Dena Bank: 1090 Clerks,
Bank of India: 3149 clerks
Bank of Baroda: 2000 clerks
Bank of Maharashtra: 543 Clerk
Punjab & Sind Bank: 800 clerks.

UCO Bank: 1000 Clerks.
Syndicate Bank: 1000 Clerks.&
United Bank: 751 Clerks.
Now, Corporation Bank: 1550 Clerks.

There were total nineteen banks for which Common Written Exam 2011 for Clerks was held on 27.11.2011 and the result was declared on 29th Feb, 2012.  Out of these nineteen banks, as ten banks have come out with their recruitment plan already, there are nine other banks which are yet to publish Clerk Recruitment Advertisement/ Notification - Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank, Allahabad Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Central Bank of India, Vijaya Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce. As and when these advertisement comes out, I am going to post a blog article on the same.

If you have been following this blog, you must have come to know that recruitment of PO based on IBPS CWE PO 2011 is still on progress and seventeen banks (out of the nineteen) have so far issued recruitment notification for 18,606 PO jobs. This blog post of mine apprises you about the important information contained in the Corporation Bank Clerk Recruitment Notification 2012 to help you apply for the same and also some Corp Bank Interview Question Prep material towards the end.

Corporation Bank Clerk Vacancy 2012:

There are 1550 Clerk vacancies in Corp Bank as per the notification with category-wise vacancies as given below:
SC: 263, ST: 122, OBC: 424, GEN: 741, TOT: 1550.

You can find the state-wise category-wise vacancies in the table at right.  This State-wise vacancy is very important as you have to apply for the clerk positions state-wise and you should be able to read, write, speak local language of that state. Moreover you should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre of that state for which vacancies you want to apply.

Corporation Bank Clerk Salary:

Salary (i.e. Pay-scale) offered by Corp Bank for these Clerk positions is Basic Pay: Rs.7200 – 19300 with other benefits like DA, HRA, etc Approx salary per month with this pay scale is Rs. 13,961/=.

Corporation Bank Eligibility for Clerks:

Age Eligibility (as on 01.08.2011): Min 18 yrs, Max 28 yrs. (Relaxations exists as per Govt rule).

Educational Qualification Eligibility:
Min 40% aggregate (35% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in graduation degree in any discipline.

Other Corp Bank Clerk Eligibility:

1.0 You should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre in that State/UT for which you wish to apply.
2.0 You should be able to read, write and speak official language of that state.
3.0 Computer literacy is essential.
4.0 Individual Test Cut-off in IBPS CWE: 24 for unreserved category and 21 for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXS

Selection Process for Corporation Bank Clerks:

Based on the CWE scores of the applicants received by Corp Bank, it is going to shortlist the candidates for personal interview.

Interview would consist of 100 marks. For General category candidates, you should score minimum 40% of Interview marks to qualify. For the reserved categories, Interview qualifying mark is 35%. The Interview venue/centres would be intimated to you through the call letter.

Final merit list for Corp Bank Clerk Recruitment would be prepared based on IBPS CWE mark & Interview mark.
