Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) had last Saturday (31st March, 2012) issued recruitment notification for 532 TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers) which includes 270 Regional Language Teachers. Although the date for the written Navodaya TGT Exam 2012 was not mentioned in the notification, those of you who filled up the form must be searching for the prep material for NVS  TGT Exam - the sample papers and books. This blog article is dedicated to those of you who are going to appear in this exam.

It at first discusses the pattern/format of the Navodaya Teachers exam and than goes on to point you to the sample papers and prep books for the same.But at the very outset, let me tell you that prep materials, specially sample papers available on the net is non-existent for Navodaya TGT Exam and hence you have to rely on sample papers for similar test section of other exams - like banking exams/KVS TGT exam etc.

Pattern/ format of Navodaya TGT exam:

Navodaya TGT written test consists of two papers- Paper-I is an Objective type question (MCQ) paper having 60 marks  which has to be answered in 1 hour. This paper is common to all posts.

Paper-II is of Descriptive type and questions from your subject of specialization would be asked i.e. the post for which you have applied. For Regional Language Teachers, the subject paper will be in the concerned Regional Language for which the candidate has applied while for others, the subject paper will be both in Hindi/English. Questions from Graduation level. are going to be asked.

I had searched on the net and could not find any reliable authentic exam papers specific to Navodaya TGT written exam. In such cases where any exam resource is not found, I always advise candidates to prepare test section-wise as sample papers for Navodaya TGT test section exists for other recruitment exams such as bank clerical/insurance assistants exams.
