LIC HFL (Housing Finance Ltd.) is going to conduct written exam for recruitment of assistants on 17th February, 2013. How do you prepare for this exam? This is the subject matter of this blog article – it intends to provide you the prep materials for this exam. You can also go through my previous blog post titled: LIC HFL Assistant Recruitment 2013 Notification, Eligibility & Forms to know about this job opportunity and how to apply for this exam.
In the very beginning, let me tell you that material available on the net for LIC Assistants exam is very scarce – almost non-existent. So I would advise you to use the exam prep materials which exists for other similar exams. And what are these exams similar to that for LIC Assistants?
You can find these exams as below:
1.0 ICAR Assistant Exam.
2.0 Bank Clerk/Assistants exam such as Syndicate Bank Clerk Agri Assistant exam.
Why do I say that? It is because if you compare the eligibility for these exams, you would find that all of these Assistant position needs graduation as qualification. Even the pay package is more or less same.
That is why the pattern of these recruitment exams (i.e. test sections) are identical and you can use the same prep materials to prepare for all these exams.
LIC Assistant Exam pattern:
In its exam notification, LIC HFL has not said much about the pattern of the written test, other than that it would consist of test sections - Reasoning ability, Numerical Ability, GK and English Language. The questions are of Objective type. It has not said how many questions would be asked in each section and for what marks.
But what would you till such time? My advice is - base your preparation according to the similar exams as given above – there are generally 50 Objective type questions in each test section of 1 mark each. For example, you can download this bank Clerk Exam booklet - which has similar exam pattern to know about the exam process.
LIC Assistant Written Exam Papers:
As told you above, since the sample/previous years exam papers of LIC Assistant Written Exam is non-existent, go by test sections in your preparation. For example, use the sample papers of bank clerks given below to know the type of questions in each test section:
