ISRO has published the notification for broadly two categories of Scientists/Engineers:
While minimum eligibility for Scientists/Engineers-SC position is M.Sc./M.Tech, for Scientists/Engineers-SD you need to be a Ph.D.
Also there is no maximum age limit for SD positions. However age eligibility for ISRO Scientist/Engineer-SC position is maximum 35 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC).
Minimum Educational qualifications required are as given below:
M.Sc./M.Tech. in Geology/Geophysics: for Scientist/Engineer-SC (Geology/Geophysics).
M.Sc./M.Tech. in Physical Oceanography: for Scientist/Engineer-SC (Physical Oceanography).
M.Tech in Civil Engineering with specialization in Water resources: for Scientist/Engineer-SC (Water Resources Management).
Following positions for Scientist/Engineer-SD position needs consistent first class academic records with Ph.D. in the relevant disciplines:
Ph.D. in Forestry: for Scientist/Engineer-SD (Forestry).
Ph.D. in Geology/Geophysics with research experiences: for Scientist/Engineer-SD (Geology/ Geophysics).
Ph. D in the field of Geology/Geophysics/ Lunar/Planetary Geosciences: for Scientist/Engineer-SD (Geology/Geophysics).
Ph.D. in Physics/ Physical Oceanography with research experience in the filed of marine Optics/ Ocean color remote sensing/ Coastal zone management: for Scientist/Engineer-SD (Physical Oceanography.

ISRO Salaries for Scientist/Engineers:
The gross salary offered by ISRO for these Scientist/Engineers positions is in pay-scale of Rs. 15600-39100 + 5400 (Grade Pay) for Scientist/Engineer-SC & Rs. 15600-39100 + 6600 (Grade Pay) for Scientist/Engineer-SD.
