 NHPC (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) Ltd. has just today issued recruitment notification for 267 Engineer Trainee, 27 Officer Trainee and 29 other positions (as Medical/Hindi Officer) and 27 re-advertised positions for Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. You can apply online for these positions from 1200 hours of 9th May 2011 to midnight of 30th May 2011. What is NHPC? Incorporated in 1975, NHPC is one of the largest organisation in India in the field of hydro power development and is among the TOP TEN companies in the country in terms of investment. In the recent times, it has also expanded to other sources of energy like Geothermal, Tidal, Wind etc. It has been conferred the status of a Mini Ratna Category-I Enterprise by Govt. of India for excellence in corporate performance.
NHPC Trainee 2011 vacancy positions: Category-wise break-up of vacancy position for Trainee positions are as below:  Salary for NHPC Engineer/Officer Trainee:Salaries offered by NHPC for these trainee positions in E2 grade is in the pay scale of Rs. 20600-3%-46500 during the one-year training. On completion of the training period, they would be absorbed as Engineer/Officers in E2A grade with pay-scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50500.
Besides above basic pay scale, they would also enjoy Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) and benefits.
NHPC Engineer/Officer Trainee Eligibilities: Age Eligibility: Maximum 30 years as on 01.04.2011.
Educational Eligibility: For engineer trainee positions: Min. 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/Pwd) in BE /B.Tech in:
i) Civil Engg. (for Civil Engg. positions)
ii) Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engg. (for Electrical Engg. positions)
iii) Mechanical Engg. (for Mechanical Engg. positions) .
AMIE candidates are also eligible.
For Trainee Officer positions: i) Trainee Officer (HR): Min. 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/Pwd) in two years full time regular PG Degree / PG Diploma in Personnel Management or MBA / MSW with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations.
ii) Trainee Officer(Law): Min. 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/Pwd) in law graduation.
iii) Trainee Officer (CS): Min. 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/Pwd) in Graduation with Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India
Final year students expecting their results by 31.08.2011 can also apply.

NHPC Recruitment 2011 Online Form:You can apply to these NHPC Trainees exam only online – the website would be opened for online application from 1200 hours of 9th May 2011 to midnight of 30th May 2011.
