This article of mine focuses on providing you the Prep Materials for KVS PGT Exam 2013 - It at first discusses about the Exam Pattern, than provides you the Syllabus, followed by the Sample Papers and at last lists out the Prep Books for the KVS PGT Exam 2013.

Without wasting time further, let us know about the pattern of KVS PGT exam.

Exam Pattern of KVS PGT Exam 2013:

KVS PGT Exam consists of two parts – Part-1 & Part-2 with total 200 Objective Type questions for 200 marks to be answered in 3 hours.

Although you have to appear in both parts of the exam, Part-1 of KVS PGT Exam is for screening purpose only - in this exam you have to score minimum 5 marks each in English & Hindi and also score minimum 13 marks in aggregate (i.e. English & Hindi combined). Part-2 of the exam is evaluated only for those candidates who scores these minimum marks in Part-1. Based on the relative performance of all the candidates, the cut-off mark for KVS PGT exam 2013 would be decided and those above the cut-off would be called for the Interview.

In preparing the merit list, marks of only Part-2 is considered (i.e. 160 marks), together with Interview. The weigtage is: 70:30 (i.e. Part-2 exam: Interview). 

In the KVS PGT Exam 2013 Notification, nothing has been said whether there would be negative marking. You can find this only in the exam hall. So do not leave any question unanswered. However there was no negative marking in previous KVS PGT Exam (i.e. in 2011).
