 This blog post follows an earlier blog article titled: Data Entry Operators Skill Test, which introduced you to the Skill test for data entry operators. That post also asked you whether you would like to test yourself for your data entry skill. If you are, please read on – this blog post gives you the sources of 3 online testing websites as well as 2 downloadable data entry test software.
The difference between online data entry testing websites and downloadable data entry test software is that - for online tests, you have to remain connected to the internet while appearing in the test while in downloadable software’s, after you download the software and install the same, you can practice them in your own machine without being connected to the net.
I have tested all these websites/software’s one by one and found them to be very good ones. Here are they:
Websites for online testing of Data Entry Skill test:  Learn2type.com This website has a very easy & clean interface and you can practice your data entry skill immediately
TypeOnline.co.uk: In numerical speed Test: My speed was: 22wpm.. In test with words: My speed was: 26wpm. In test with Words & Numbers: My speed was: 20wpm.
TypingTest.com  This is another good website, where you can choose test of 1 minute, 2 minute & 3 minute duration. Gives you your typing speed in words per minute (wpm) as well as character per minute (cpm). My speed was 27 WPM, 136 CPM. 
Websites for downloading software’s for Data Entry Skill test 
TypingMaster.com: A very good software, with ease of use. Just download this 8.4 Mb file, install the same and test your data entry speed in your own machine. Gives you the result in wpm as well as cpm.
DataEntrytTest2009: Another very good downloadable Data Entry Skill test software. Use  this link to download the software and if it fails, use this link. For initial 30 days, it is free. Beyond that you have to purchase price the same - $28 for each computer you wish to use the program on. The file size is small – 882 KB only, so it downloads fast and is easy to install.
