BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) time to time issues recruitment notification for jobs like Telecom Technical Assistant, Management Trainees etc. as there is huge demand for the skilled manpower. It has issued recruitment notification for Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) just today (16Th Feb, 2009) and there is a huge vacancy of 3945 JTO’s as per BSNL JTO-2009 notification.

Salaries offered for BSNL JTO:
Salary being offered by BSNL for these post of J.T.O. is in the pay-scale of Rs. 9850-250-14600 (pay-scale is likely to be revised).
BSNL JTO-2009 notification important dates:
Date of JTO-2009 form availability: 16th February, 2009.
Last date of receipt of filled-in application at BSNL Telecom Circles: 6th April, 2009.
Date of JTO-2009 written exam: 21st June, 2009.
BSNL Service Bond:
If you are recruited, you would need to execute a Service Bond in the format specified by the BSNL indicating your willingness to serve the Telecom Circle allotted and Corporation for a period of at least 5 years from the date of your appointment as a JTO.
Eligibilities for BSNL JTO-2009 exam:
Age eligibility:
Maximum 30 years as on 6th April, 2009. (i.e. on the closing date for receipt of applications). Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rule.
Academic eligibility: You must posses following qualifications as on 31.12.2009
Eligibilities for BSNL JTO (Telecom):
BE/B. Tech or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the disciplines of Telecommunication, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical or Information Technology.
Eligibilities for BSNL JTO (Civil):
BE/B. Tech or equivalent Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
Eligibilities for BSNL JTO (Electrical):
BE/B. Tech or equivalent Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.
Final year degree students may also apply provided they possesses the required educational qualification by 31.12.2009. The qualifications achieved must be from a recognized Institution/University.

How to apply for BSNL JTO-2009 exam:
At first download the application form for BSNL JTO-2009 exam from this link. The application form is a part of BNSL exam notification and is available from Page-9 to page-11. Print the same in A4-size paper.
If you do not belong to the categories of SC/ST/PH, you need to pay the BSNL JTO-2009 examination fee of Rs.750/- in the form of Demand Draft (DD). Now in whose favour this DD to be made and where should the completed BSNL JTO form should be sent?
There are 27 BSNL Territorial Telecom Circles and you need to send your completed application forms to any of these circles (naturally you would choose the one nearest to you. Won’t you?). You should also make the DD for BSNL JTO-2009 examination fee in favour of Senior Accounts Officer/Accounts Officer of that telecom circle. You would find the list of these telecom circles in Annexure-A of the BSNL JTO-2009 notification (page-12 to 15).
List of enclosures to be sent with BSNL JTO-2009 application form:
a. Three identical passport size photographs out of which one should be pasted (not stapled or pinned) on the application form, duly attested, and the other two attached to the application (not to be pasted or attested)
b. Two self addressed unstamped envelopes of 27 x 12 cms size
c. Bank Draft for Rs.750/- (payable at par at the station of submitting the application) - (Not required for SC/ST/PH candidates)
d. Medical certificate in respect of Physically Handicapped candidates
e. Certificate of Apprentice training if undertaken in BSNL successfully.
The envelope containing application form and enclosures should be marked “Application for J.T.Os (Telecom) Examination-2009” OR “Application for J.T.Os (Civil) Examination-2009” OR “Application for J.T.Os (Electrical) Examination-2009”, as the case may be, in bold letters on top of the envelope.
It should be sent by Registered post, so that it reaches the respective BSNL Telecom Circles on or before 6th April, 2009.
