SSC has thrown open flood gate of opportunities for those of you who would like to join in police forces – it has published the notification for SSC CAPF Constable Exam 2015. Through this exam, SSC is going to recruit 62,390 constables in eight police organizations: BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NIA, SSF and Assam Rifles. The minimum qualification requirement for this CAPF constable job is matriculation and if you are interested, you can submit the application form till 23rd February, 2015.

First: the Selection Process:
The selection for the post of constables in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) consists of following stages:
1.0 Physical Standards Test (PST)
2.0 Physical Endurance Test (PET)
3.0 Written Exam (both online and offline).
4.0 Detailed Medical Examination (DME) followed by Review Medical Examination (RME).
You would be allowed to appear in the written exam only if you qualify the PST & PET. The exam is going to be held on 4th October, 2015. After the exam, a merit list would be prepared state-wise without making Force allocation. The Force allocation (i.e. whether you would be offered job in BSF or CISF etc.) would be done by the Ministry of Home Affairs / CRPF. CRPF is the coordinating member of these police forces for this recruitment.
Number of Constable Vacancy:
As said, there are a total of 62,390 vacancies for constables.

Salary:
Salary being offered for these CAPF Constable Job is in the pay-scale of Pay Band – I: Rs 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs 2000/-.
Eligibility for Constable job in CAPF:
Age: (as on 01.08.2015)
Minimum 18 years, Maximum: 23 years.
(Date of Birth not earlier than 02.08.1992 and not later than 01.08.1997).
Educational Qualification (as on 01.08.2015)
Matriculation or Class-10 pass from a recognized board/university.
In addition to above eligibilities, you would need to have following Physical standards:
a) Height: For Males : 170 cms, For Females : 157 cms.
b) Chest: For males only – Unexpanded : 80 cms, Expanded : Min expansion 5 cms.
c) Weight: For males and Females : Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
There are some relaxations, based on which region you below from which is given in page: 10/11 of the notification.
Also, you would need to qualify following Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Race: Male: 5 Kms in 24 minutes; For Female: 1.6 Kms in 8 ½ minutes
Race: For candidates of Ladakh Region: Male: 1 Mile in 6 ½ minutes; Female: 800 meters in 4 minutes.
Format of SSC Constable Exam 2015:
The written test consists of a single Objective type paper containing 100 questions of 100 marks. The duration is two Hours. The four test sections in the paper are:
1.0 General Intelligence and Reasoning.
2.0 General Knowledge and General Awareness.
3.0 Elementary Mathematics.
4.0 English/Hindi.

SSC CAPF Constable Exam 2015 Application Form:
Application Form is available both Online and Offline.
But however, you can apply offline only if you belong to the states of J&K and North-East and from Left Wing Extremism affected areas and border districts. Details of these districts are given in Annexure XIII & XIV in page: 40 & 41 of the notification. Candidates from these areas can apply both Online and Offline.
If you do not belong to above areas, there is no other way for you but to apply only through online application form for SSC CAPF Constable Exam 2015.

Admit Card / Call letter for SSC CAPF Constable Exam 2015:
First phase of the selection process is PST/PET.
For those who apply through online form, the Admit card for PST/PET would be available only online.
