This article is being posted to provide you the Prep materials for SSC CAPF Constable Exam 2015, which is scheduled to be held on 4th October 2015. It shall give you the Syllabus and Exam Pattern and than point you to the sources of Sample/Previous years exam paper and Prep Books.

But before you start preparation for the exam, you must know that you would be able to appear in the exam only if you qualify in the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET). So you should prepare for the same along with your preparation for the written test.

SSC CAPF Constable Exam 2015 Pattern/ Format:

This exam is going to be held in both Online and Offline mode. You have to opt in which mode you want to appear in the examination, while filling/submitting your application form.

There is a single Objective type question paper which contains 100 questions, each carrying 1 marks. This 100 mark question paper has to be answered within the duration of 2 hours. There are four test sections:

A. General Intelligence and Reasoning.

B. General Knowledge and General Awareness.

C. Elementary Mathematics.

D. English/Hindi.

With above, structure of SSC Constable Exam is as below:

If you are appearing in Offline mode (i.e. Pen-Paper), than you can appear in the first three sections (i.e. A, B and C in either English, Hindi or any of the regional language medium as given in page-13 of the notification. However Online exam would be conducted for A, B and C parts in English and Hindi medium only.

For Part-D of the exam, you have to attempt either Hindi or English.

SSC CAPF Constable Exam 2015 Syllabus

Syllabus for this exam as given in the notification is reproduced below:

A. General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

B. General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

C. Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

D. English/Hindi: Your ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and basic comprehension would be tested.

The questions in all the above components will be of Matriculation level.
