Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has recently issued Recruitment Notification 2014 for a huge vacancy of 1194 positions, which includes Station Controller/ Train Operator, Junior Engineers, Customer Relations Assistant and Maintainers through advertisement no.: DMRC/OM/HR/I/2014. Submission of on-line application form has already started from 11th March and the last date for  submission of form for this DMRC recruitment is 15th April, 2014. Dates for DMRC Exam 2014 has not been declared at this notification stage.

What is DMRC:

Registered on 3 May 1995, DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is a premier profit making PSU, owned equally by Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi. DMRC operates Delhi Metro  as well as provides metro rail project consultancy services.

Delhi Metro is the world's 13th largest metro system by annual passenger rides. The network consists of 6 lines with a total length of 189.63 kilometres with 142 stations, of which 35 are underground, 5 are at-grade, and 102 are elevated. When all four phases of the Delhi Metro project get executed by 2021,  it would have a total length of 420 km and become the fourth largest metro project in the world.

Apart from running Delhi Metro, DMRC has served as the project consultant for every metro and monorail project in India except the Chennai MRTS. In September 2012, DMRC has been awarded the work of 'Management Consulting Services' of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit system by the Indonesian government.

DMRC Vacancy 2014:
As said, there are a total of 1194 vacancies which is going to be filled through this recruitment. Out of this, 292 vacancy are for JE (Junior Engineers), 98 vacancy are for Station Controller/ Train Operator, 234 vacancy are for Customer Relations Assistant and 570 vacancy are for Maintainers.

Salary for DMRC Jobs:

DMRC is offering following salary for this job opportunity:
Salary for Station Controller/ Train Operator: Pay-scale Rs. 13500-25520.
Salary for JE: Pay-scale Rs.  13500-25520.
Salary for Customer Relations Assistant: Pay-scale Rs.  10170-18500
Salary for Maintainer : Pay-scale Rs. 8000-14140.

Age Eligibility: Min: 18 yrs. Max: to 28 Yrs.

Academic Qualification Eligibility:
3-years Engineering Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent or BSC Hons (Physics/Chemistry/Maths) or BSc (Physics/Chemistry/Maths.

Eligibility for DMRC JE:
Age Eligibility: Min: 18 yrs. Max: to 28 Yrs.
(DOB not earlier than not earlier than 2.1.1986 and not later than 1.1.1996)
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
3-years Engineering Diploma in Electrical for JE (Electrical), Electronics/Electronics & Communication for JE (Electronics), Mechanical for JE (Mechanical) and Civil for JE (Civil) or equivalent trades as given above.

Eligibility for DMRC Customer Relations Assistant:
Age Eligibility: Min: 18 yrs. Max: to 28 Yrs.
(DOB not earlier than not earlier than 2.1.1986 and not later than 1.1.1996)
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
3/4 years Graduation course in any discipline and computer literacy (Certificate in Computer Application Course of a minimum 6 weeks duration)

Eligibility for DMRC Maintainer:
Age Eligibility: Min: 18 yrs. Max: to 25 Yrs.
(DOB not earlier than 2.1.1989 and not later than 1.1.1996)
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in specific trade as given in page-1 of the notification.

All qualifications should be from a Govt. recognized University/Institute.

Selection Process for DMRC Recruitment 2014:

Selection process for Station Controller/Train Operator and Customer Relations Assistant consists of four-stage process – Written Test (two papers), Psycho Test & Personal Interview followed by Medical examination.

For the post of Jr. Engineers, the selection process is same as above but Psycho Test is not going to be held.

For the post of Maintainer, it is a 2-stage selection process only: Written Test (one paper), followed by Medical examination. There is no interview for Maintainers.

The DMRC written exam for all position except Maintainers consists of two papers - Paper-I (120 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark and duration 1.5 hours) and Paper-II (60 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark and duration 45 minutes)

While the DMRC written exam for the position of Maintainer consists of one paper - 120 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark with duration 1.5 hours.
