What is DMRC:
Registered on 3 May 1995, DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is a premier profit making PSU, owned equally by Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi. DMRC operates Delhi Metro as well as provides metro rail project consultancy services.
Delhi Metro is the world's 13th largest metro system by annual passenger rides. The network consists of 6 lines with a total length of 189.63 kilometres with 142 stations, of which 35 are underground, 5 are at-grade, and 102 are elevated. When all four phases of the Delhi Metro project get executed by 2021, it would have a total length of 420 km and become the fourth largest metro project in the world.
Apart from running Delhi Metro, DMRC has served as the project consultant for every metro and monorail project in India except the Chennai MRTS. In September 2012, DMRC has been awarded the work of 'Management Consulting Services' of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit system by the Indonesian government.

As said, there are a total of 1194 vacancies which is going to be filled through this recruitment. Out of this, 292 vacancy are for JE (Junior Engineers), 98 vacancy are for Station Controller/ Train Operator, 234 vacancy are for Customer Relations Assistant and 570 vacancy are for Maintainers.

Selection Process for DMRC Recruitment 2014:
Selection process for Station Controller/Train Operator and Customer Relations Assistant consists of four-stage process – Written Test (two papers), Psycho Test & Personal Interview followed by Medical examination.
For the post of Jr. Engineers, the selection process is same as above but Psycho Test is not going to be held.
For the post of Maintainer, it is a 2-stage selection process only: Written Test (one paper), followed by Medical examination. There is no interview for Maintainers.
The DMRC written exam for all position except Maintainers consists of two papers - Paper-I (120 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark and duration 1.5 hours) and Paper-II (60 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark and duration 45 minutes)
While the DMRC written exam for the position of Maintainer consists of one paper - 120 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark with duration 1.5 hours.
