Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has recently issued recruitment notification 2013 named "SEBI Recruitment Exercise-2013" for 75 Grade - A Officers, online submission of form for which has started from today (i.e. 12.08.2013). Last date of submission of form is 26th August and the online SEBI recruitment exam 2013 is going to be held on 15th September, 2013.  This blog post is an abridged version of the notification to help you apply for these officer positions by quoting the relevant information on Eligibility & Application form from the notification.

What is SEBI:

Established in 1988 and bestowed statutory powers on 12th April, 1992 SEBI is the regulator of capital markets in India. It drafts regulations in its legislative capacity, it conducts investigation and enforcement action in its executive function and it passes rulings and orders in its judicial capacity. 

With its head-quarter in Mumbai, SEBI has regional offices at Kolkata, Delhi,Chennai & Ahmadabad. It has recently opened local offices at Jaipur and Bangalore and is planning to open offices at Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Kochi and Chandigarh in 2013 - 2014.

SEBI has a workforce of about 600 officers and is on a recruitment spree now for recruiting officers for enhanced investor awareness and for its new upcoming offices as given above.

SEBI Officers Vacancy 2013:

As said, there are 75 vacancy of Grade-A Officer, with the category-wise vacancy break-up as below:

GE: 39; OBC: 19; SC:12; ST: 5; PWD: 2.

SEBI Grade-A Officer Salary:

SEBI is offering these Grade-A Officers salary in the pay-scale of Rs. 17100-1000(11)-28100-EB-1000(4)-32100- 1100(1)-33200. With this pay-scale, monthly salary for the Grade-A officers is approx Rs. 65,000/- without accommodation and Rs. 45,000/- with accommodation. SEBI CTC works out as Rs. 11 lakhs approx.

Eligibility for SEBI Grade-A Officers:

SEBI has following eligibility for the Recruitment Exercise-2013:

Age Eligibility: (as on 31/07/2013)

Max: 27 years. (DOB on or after 01/08/1986).

Age relaxation exists as per Govt rule - 10 years: PWD, 5 years: SC/ST & 3 years: OBC.

Academic Qualification Eligibility:

Min.: 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/ PWD) in Masters Degree in Economics/ Commerce/ MBA/ PG Degree or PG Diploma in Management from a recognized University/Institute, CA/CFA/CS/ICWA.

Also you should be computer literate and conversant with MS Office, Word and Excel Applications.

Any work experience in the related field will be considered during the selection process.

Selection Process for Recruitment of SEBI Grade-A Officers:
