Punjab & Sind Bank Clerk Recruitment 2012 Notification Forms Eligibility
PSB (Punjab & Sind Bank) recruitment notification 2012 had come out few days back for 800 Clerks called "Single Window Operators –“A”. As per the notification, Online submission of form starts from 2nd May and the last date to apply online for Punjab & Sind Bank Clerk Recruitment 2012 is 18th May, 2012.

This clerk recruitment notification by Punjab & Sind Bank is a part of the recruitment process being carried out by 19 major PSU banks of India, based on IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 score. This Common Written Exam 2011 for Clerks was held on 27.11.2011 and the result was declared on 29th Feb, 2012. So far  six banks have issued recruitment notification for a total of 8182 clerks. Rest 13 of the PSU banks are very shortly going to follow these recruitment notification for clerks. The number of total Clerk vacancies through IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 should be more than 20,000.

If you have been following this blog, you must have come to know that recruitment of PO based on IBPS CWE PO 2011 is still on progress and fifteen banks (out of the nineteen) have so far issued recruitment notification for 16712 PO jobs. This blog post of mine apprises you about the important information contained in the Punjab & Sind Bank Clerk Recruitment Notification 2012 to help you apply for the same and also some Punjab & Sind Bank Interview Question Prep material towards the end.

Punjab & Sind Bank Clerk Vacancy 2012:
There are 800 Clerk vacancies in Punjab & Sind Bank as per the notification with category-wise vacancies as given below:
SC: 178, ST: 32, OBC: 178, TOT: 412
You can find the state-wise category-wise vacancies in Punjab & Sind Bank in page-1 of the notification.  This State-wise vacancy is very important as you have to apply for the clerk positions state-wise and you should be able to read, write, speak local language of that state. Moreover you should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre of that state for which vacancies you want to apply.

Punjab & Sind Bank Clerk Salary:
Salary (i.e. Pay-scale) offered by Punjab & Sind Bank for these Clerk positions is Basic Pay: Rs.7200 – 19300 with other benefits like DA, HRA, etc Approx salary per month with this pay scale is Rs. 13,800/=.

Punjab & Sind Bank Eligibility for Clerks:
Age Eligibility (as on 01.08.2011): Min 18 yrs, Max 28 yrs. (Relaxations exists as per Govt rule).

Educational Qualification Eligibility
Minimum 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen) in Class-XII or its equivalent. OR
Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.OR
Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/ State/ UT Govt.

Other Punjab & Sind Bank Clerk Eligibility:
1.0 You should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre in that State/UT for which you wish to apply.
2.0 You should be able to read, write and speak official language of that state.
3.0 Candidates with Computer Knowledge will be given preference.


IBPS CWE Cut-Off  for Punjab & Sind Bank Clerks:
Punjab & Sind Bank has not specified the IBPS Score cut-off for Clerks like other banks. You just need to have a valid IBPS Score card.

Selection Process for Punjab & Sind Bank Clerks:
Based on the CWE scores of the applicants received by Punjab & Sind Bank, it is going to shortlist the candidates for personal interview.

There are 100 marks for Interview. For General category candidates, you should score minimum 40% of Interview marks to qualify. For the Interview cut-off % age is 35%  Reserved categories. The Final merit list would be prepared by totaling the marks scored in IBPS  & marks scored in Punjab & Sind Bank Interview. The weightage for written test score & interview marks will be 85% & 15% respectively.

Punjab & Sind Bank Clerk Recruitment 2012 Online Form:
You can apply for Punjab & Sind Bank (Punjab & Sind Bank) Clerk Recruitment 2012 only online, There is no offline form. The online form would be available from 2nd May to 18th May, 2012.

As per the notification, last date to apply for SSC Steno Exam 2012 is 25th May, 2012 and the exam would be conducted on 29th July, 2012.

This blog post encapsulates the important info contained in the above notification to help you apply for the same. It also archives the info for future SSC Steno aspirants (say for SSC Steno exam 2013/2014) to know about the application process. At first, let us begin that by knowing what is SSC Steno Exam.

What is SSC Stenographer Exam:
Staff Selection Commission is a cousin of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and it conducts various recruitment exams for Group “B” & “C” posts in the various Ministries/Departments of Govt. of India and the attached/subordinate offices.
SSC conducts the SSC Stenographers exam every year in the month of September/October for recruitment of Stenographers in Grade 'C‘ ( Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted ) & Grade 'D‘ (Group ‘C’ Non-Technical) in various Central Government Ministries / Departments / Offices, notification for which comes out in the month of July/August every year.

SSC Steno Salary:
Salary being offered for these stenographer positions is:
Pay scale for for Grade-C: Pay Band-2 Rs.9300-34800 + Grade pay Rs.4600 and
Pay scale for for Grade-D: Pay Band-2 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-.

SSC Steno Vacanices:
Staff Selection Commission decides upon the number of vacancies to be filled only later and number of vacancies is not given at the notification stage.

SSC Steno Exam Eligibility:
Age Eligibility: as on 01.08.2012
Min: 18 years, Max.: 27 years.
Age Relaxation exists as per Govt rule and you can find the same in page-3-5 of the Notification.

Academic qualification Eligibility: as on 01.08.2012
Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.

SSC Steno Exam Selection Process:
The selection procedure consists of a 200 mark Written test followed by a Stenography Skill Test. Details about the SSC Steno Exam selection process can be found in my next blog post: SSC Steno exam Pattern, Syllabus, Papers and Books.

SSC Steno Exam 2012 Notification Dates:
Date of exam notification: 28.04.2012.
Last date of application for SSC Steno Exam 2012: 25.05.2012 (upto 5 P.M.).
(For remote areas: 01.06.2012).
Last date of Online submission of form (i.e. website closure) : 23.05.2012
Date of SSC Steno Exam 2012 (Written): 29.07.2012 (Sunday).

SSC is going to send you the call letter (termed as Admission Certificates (AC) by SSC) for written exam two weeks prior to the exam and if you do not receive the same within one week prior to exam, for issue of duplicate call letter, contact the concerned regional office where you submitted your application with proof of submission of your application.

With this notification by Bank of Maharastra, five banks have so far issued recruitment notification for 7382 clerks - previously four other banks had issued the recruitment notification: Andhra Bank for 600 clerksDena Bank for 1090 ClerksBank of India: for 3149 clerks &  Bank of Baroda for 2000 clerks. All these banks are recruiting based on IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 score. You can find the state-wise, category-wise vacancies in page1/2 of the notification. This State-wise vacancy is very important as you have to apply for the clerk positions state-wise and you should be able to read, write, speak local language of that state. Moreover you should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre of that state for which vacancies you want to apply.

Bank of Maharastra Clerk Salary:

1.0 You should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre in that State/UT for which you wish to apply.
2.0 You should be able to read, write and speak official language of that state.
3.0 You should posses a Certificate for having completed a Course in Computer Awareness & Office Automation for duration of minimum 100 hours from a reputed Computer Training Institute, which will be waived where 'Computers' is a part of the curriculum at the Graduation / Post-Graduation Level.

IBPS CWE Cut-Off  for Bank of Maharastra Clerks:
Bank of Maharastra IBPS CWE cut-off markIBPS Score cut-off for each individual tests:
For Unreserved: 24
For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex-servicemen: 21

IBPS CWE TWS cut-off mark State-wise, Category-wise:
You can find the state-wise cut-off marks for IBPS CWE TWS (Total Weighted Standard) Score for Bank Of Maharastra in the table at left.

As you can see, for Haryana, Kerela, UP, AP & West Bengal, you need to have the highest CWE TWS score. The least CWE score is required for Tripura etc. For some categories in a particular state (like ST in Haryana) no CWE cut-off has been mentioned in the notification, as for  this Bank of Maharastra Recruitment 2012, there is no clerk vacancy for ST category in  Haryana.

Selection Process for Bank of Maharastra Clerks:
Based on the CWE scores of the applicants received by Bank of Maharastra, it is going to shortlist the candidates for personal interview.

Punjab & Sind Bank PO Recruitment 2012 Notification Forms Eligibility
PSB (Punjab & Sind Bank) PO Recruitment Notification 2012 came out today for 900 PO (Probationary Officers) and as per the notification, online submission of form starts on 24th April and the last date to apply online for this Punjab & Sind Bank recruitment is 10th May, 2012. Punjab & Sind Bank PO Vacancy 2012This is the fifteenth PO recruitment notification to come out this year - fourteen banks (out of nineteen PSU banks which participated in IBPS CWE 2011) have earlier issued notification for a total.of 15812 PO jobs.  You can find the bank-wise number of PO vacancies advertised  by the PSU banks in the table given at right. You can find a detailed blog post covering the individual cut-off mark of IBPS CWE by them in my exclusive blog post titled: IBPS CWE Score Cut-off for PO Bank-wise: for all banks.

Punjab & Sind Bank PO Recruitment 2012 Online Form:
You can only apply online for Punjab & Sind Bank Recruitment 2012. There is no offline form.

Punjab & Sind Bank PO Selection Process:
Since you have already appeared in IBPS CWE, there will be no more written test. Selection process will now consist of  Interview consisting of 100 marks In Interview, you need to score minimum 40 mark for General Category and 35 marks for SC/ST/OBC/PC Candidates to be eligible to be considered for merit list.

Final merit list for the selected candidates would be based on marks scored in IBPS CWE 2011  & Punjab & Sind Bank PO Interview. The weightage for written test score and interview marks will be 85% & 15% respectively.

As you can see, for Bihar, you need to have the highest CWE TWS score. The least CWE score is required for Karnataka etc. For some categories in a particular state (like SC, ST in Bihar) no CWE cut-off has been mentioned in the notification, as for  this BOB Recruitment 2012, there is no clerk vacancy for ST category in Bihar.


Selection Process for Andhra Bank Clerks:
Based on the CWE scores of the applicants received by Andhra Bank, it is going to shortlist the candidates for personal interview.

There are 35 marks for Interview. For General category candidates, you should score minimum 40% of Interview marks to qualify. For the Interview cut-off % age is 35%  Reserved categories. The Final merit list would be prepared by totaling the marks scored in IBPS  & marks scored in Andhra Bank Interview.

As per the notification, Online submission of form  starts today (i.e. 17th April) and the last date to apply online for Dena Bank Clerk Recruitment 2012 is 2nd Mayl, 2012.

With this Clerk recruitment notification, Dena Bank becomes the third bank to go for recruitment of clerks based on  IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 score. The Common Written Exam 2011 was held for 19 major PSU banks of India on 27.11.2011 and the result was declared on 29th Feb, 2012.  Till today, two other banks  have issued  clerk recruitment notification based on IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 score: Bank of India: for 3149 clerks &  Bank of Baroda for 2000 clerks.  The rest other 16 banks are very shortly going to follow Dena Bank in issuing recruitment notification for clerks. The number of total Clerk vacancies through IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 should be more than 20,000.

Number of candidate for Dena Bank InterviewBased on the CWE scores of the applicants received by Dena Bank, it is going to shortlist the candidates for personal interview. How many of candidates are going to be called for Dena Bank Clerk Interview? You can find the numbers on the table at right - For every vacancy in General category, four candidates are going to be called. For reserved categories, five persons are going to be called for each vacancy. Hence a total of 4872 candidates are going to be interviewed for Dena Bank Clerk recruitment.

There are 100marks for Interview. For General category candidates, you should score minimum 40% of Interview marks to qualify. For the Interview cut-off % age is 35%  Reserved categories. The Final merit list would be prepared by totaling the marks scored in IBPS  & marks scored in Dena Bank Interview.

BOI (Bank Of India) has just yesterday issued recruitment notification 2012 for 3149 Clerks. As per the notification, Online submission of form  has started from yesterday (i.e. 16th April) and the last date to apply online for BOI Clerk Recruitment 2012 is 28th April, 2012.

Other BOI Clerk Eligibility:
1.0 You should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre in that State/UT for which you wish to apply.
2.0 You should be able to read, write and speak official language of that state.





Selection Process for Bank Of India Clerks:
Based on the CWE scores of the applicants received by BOI, it is going to shortlist the candidates for personal interview. How many of candidates are going to be called for BOI Clerk Interview? For every vacancy in each category, three candidates are going to be called. Hence a total of 9447 candidates are going to be interviewed for BOI Clerk recruitment.

Bank of India Clerk Interview carries 100 marks, For General category candidates, you should score minimum 50% of Interview marks to qualify. For the  Reserved categories, the Interview cut-off % age is 45% . The Final merit list would be prepared with IBPS marks and interview marks taken together.

You can apply for Bank Of India (BOI) Clerk Recruitment 2012 only online, There is no offline form. The online form is available from 16th Apri to 28th April, 2012.
