This article of mine is written as a follow-up blog post on previous article titled: NEET PG 2013 Notification Form Eligibility and is intended to provide you the prep/study materials for NEET PG 2013 - it discusses about the pattern of NEET PG and than points you to the sample papers & prep books that you can use to prepare for NEET PG 2013.NEET PG 2013 Exam Pattern:
NEET PG would be a CBT (Computer Based Test) and not an IBT (Internet Based Test) - you can not appear in NEET PG from your home or a cyber cafe- you have to take the test in the assigned computer in the NEET PG test centre.
NEET PG would be held from November 23rd, 2012 to December 6th, 2012 in two sessions - Forenoon (10:00 AM to 1:15 PM) & Afternoon (3:15 PM to 6:30 PM). NEET PG test duration is 3 hours, within which you have to answer the 240 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) from 14 medical subjects. You can find subject-wise number of questions in NEET-PG in the table at right.
There is no negative marking in NEET-PG. So do not leave any question unanswered.
NEET PG 2013 Exam Sample Papers & Mock Test:
NEET PG 2013 is being held for the first time and hence there are no previous years exam papers of NEET PG. However, since NEET PG would be similar to AIPGMEE (All India Postgraduate Medical Entrance Exam), you can use the sample papers of AIPGMEE for NEET PG. You can also use the following NEET PG sample papers just to have an idea regarding the question types:
NEET PG Mock Test by NEET-PG.com.However, the most authentic sample papers for NEET PG 2013 is the free mock test being offered by NBE (National Board of Exam) - because this is an official mock test and that too in CBT (Computer Based Test) environment. NEET PG 2013 Exam Syllabus:
