Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued recruitment notification 2012 this Saturday for a huge vacancy of 6829 posts of Apprentice, Goods Guard, Typist, Assistant Station Master etc through Centralised Employment Notice No.: 03/2012. As per the notification, last date to apply for these positions is 11th June and the RRB Prelims exam 2012 would be held on 28th October, 2012. This RRB notification came out in Employment News of 12th May. As par the notification, there are 6829 RRB vacancies, Post-wise, category-wise RRB vacancy 2012 is given in the table at right: 

Indian Railway is offering salary in following pay-scales for the positions mentioned against:

Commercial Apprentice (Pay Scale):  Rs. 9300-34800 GP 4200
Traffic Apprentice (Pay Scale): 9300-34800 GP 4200
ECRC (Pay Scale):  Rs. 5200-20200 GP 2800
Goods Guard (Pay Scale):  Rs. 5200-20200 GP 2800
Jr. Accounts Assistant cum Typist (Pay Scale):  Rs. 5200-20200 GP 2800
Sr. Clerk cum Typist (Pay Scale):  Rs. 5200-20200 GP 2800
Assistant Station Master (Pay Scale):  Rs. 5200-20200 GP 2800
Traffic Assistant (Pay Scale):  Rs. 5200-20200 GP 2000

Eligibilities for appearing/applying in RRB Exam 2012 is given below:

Eligibility for Railway Commercial Apprentice:

Age Eligibility (as on 01/07/2012): Min 18 yrs, Max: 33 yrs.

Academic Qualification Eligibility: Degree from recognized University or its equivalent. Diploma in Rail Transport and Management from the Institute of Rail Transport will be an additional desirable qualification.

Eligibility for Railway Traffic Apprentice:

Age Eligibility (as on 01/07/2012): Min 18 yrs, Max: 33 yrs.

Academic Qualification Eligibility: Degree from recognized University or its equivalent. Diploma in Rail Transport and Management from the Institute of Rail Transport will be an additional desirable qualification.

Eligibility for Railway ECRC:

Age Eligibility (as on 01/07/2012): Min 18 yrs, Max: 33 yrs.

Academic Qualification Eligibility: Degree from recognized University or its equivalent.

Eligibility for Railway Goods Guard:

Age Eligibility (as on 01/07/2012): Min 18 yrs, Max: 33 yrs.

Academic Qualification Eligibility: Degree from recognized University or its equivalent.

Eligibility for Railway Jr. Accounts Assistant cum Typist:

Age Eligibility (as on 01/07/2012): Min 18 yrs, Max: 33 yrs.

Academic Qualification Eligibility: Degree from recognized University or its equivalent. Preference being given to persons with I & II Divisions, Honours & Master Degree. Typing proficiency in English/Hindi on Computer/Typewriter is essential.

Eligibility for Railway Sr. Clerk cum Typist:

Selection Process for RRB Recruitment 2012:

Selections to the above positions would consist of a two-stage written test - Preliminary & Mains.The written test would comprise of 100 to 120 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. RRB exam 2012 would consist of test sections -  General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning.

In addition, qualifying Skill Test(Typing Test ) will also be conducted for the post of Jr. Accounts Assistant cum Typist/Sr. Clerk Cum Typist & Aptitude test will be conducted for the post of Assistant Station Master and Traffic Assistant.
