Punjab & Sind Bank Specialist Officers Recruitment notification 2012 came out recently for a total of
301 positions - 250 Specialist Officer (JMGS –I), 50 Chartered Accountants & 1 Chief IS Officer. Of these vacancies, recruitment for the 250 Specialist Officer in JMGS –I scale would be based on IBPS CWE (Specialist Officers) 2012, which was held on 11th March, 2012 while for other positions, shortlisting for Interview would be done based on academic qualifications (i.e.aggregate %age). Online submission of form starts from 1st June, 2012 and the last date to apply online is 15th June, 2012.

Age Eligibility: (As on 01.12.2011)
For all Specialist Officer in JMGS –I scale: Minimum 21 & Maximum 30 Years.
For Chartered Accountants: Max. 35 years for MMGS -III & 32 years for MMGS –II.
Academic Qualification/Experience Eligibility for Chartered Accountants:
Graduate with a pass in the final exam of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Experience:
For MMGS–III: Min. 5 Years in a Private/ Public Sector/ Foreign/ Reputed Investment Bank preferably in Processing Corporate Proposals.
For MMGS–II: Min. 2 Years in Banking/ FI (Specially in Project Appraisal/ Risk Management/ Treasury/ Foreign Exchange/ Merchant Banking etc.).
Academic Qualification Eligibility for Specialist Officers (JMGS –I scale):
For all the positions given below (IT Officer, Agriculture Officer, Official Language Officer & Technical Officer) you need to have a valid IBPS CWE (Specialist Officer) 2012 Score card.
For IT Officers (in Generalist cadre):
B.E/ B. Tech Computer Science/ IT/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation or Electronics with Computer Science as one of the subjects or MCS or MCA/ B.Sc.-IT/ BCA
OR
MCA/ M. Sc (Computer Science/ IT)/ PG in Electronics & telecommunication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ IT from a recognized University/ Institute
OR
Graduate from a recognized university having passed DOEACC `B’ level.
For Agriculture Field Officer (in generalist cadre):
Degree in Agriculture or allied specializations such as Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Agriculture Engineering/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agriculture Marketing & Cooperation etc. from recognized university.
Preference will be given to candidates having computer knowledge.
For Rajbhasha Adhikari (Official Language Officers):
A post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject in degree level
OR a post graduate Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as a subject in degree level.
Desirable: - 2-years experience of translation in a full time period post in an organisation.
Preference will be given to candidates having computer knowledge.
For Technical Officer (Civil & Electrical):
Degree in Engineering i.e. B.E / B. Tech in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering, as the case may be.
