Punjab Information and Communication Technology Education Society (PICTES) has just today issued recruitment notification 2012 for 700 Computer Faculty on contractual basis for 3 years (to be regularized after 3 years) in the CDAC Mohali website. These faculty position needs no prior experience and hence even the freshers can apply. However, these positions are open only for residents from Punjab. The online submission of form starts today (i.e. 5th December, 2011) and last to apply for PICTES Computer Faculty recruitment 2012 is 31st December, 2011.

Eligibility for PICTES Computer Faculty recruitment:
You should be a Resident of Punjab state.
You should have passed Punjabi in matriculation or higher examination.
Age Eligibility: Min 18 years and Max 37 years as on 01.01.2011.
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
3-years Diploma (Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology) or BCA or B.Sc. (IT/CS/Internet Science) or BIT or B Level of DOEACC or B.E. / B.Tech. (IT/Computer Science) or BCAM or B.Sc. (Information system/ Science) or BMIT or AMIE examination of IETE in Computer Science & Engg. or MCA or M.Sc. (IT/Computer Science /Software /Software System) or MIS or MIT or M. Tech. (Computer Science) or M.Sc. (Networking and Protocol Designing) or M.Sc. (IT)( LE), with at least 50% marks.
Note: For Under Graduate candidates, the course duration should be three years with computer related full subjects. Also, Graduate candidate with one subject as computer, need not apply.
And in case of Post graduate candidates the course duration of two years with computer related full subjects in relevant qualification will be mandatory.
Salary offered for PICTES Computer Faculty:
Lump-sum salary during contract basis: Rs. 10,000/- per month.
After regularization (i.e. 3 years of continuous Service) the salary will be approx. Rs. 30000/- per month.
Selection process for PICTES Computer Faculty:
Selection for these faculty positions would be done only through a written test to be held at eight districts of Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda, S.A.S. Nagar, Ferozepur and Pathankot. The written exam would be held on 5th February, 2012.
PICTES Computer Faculty Written exam pattern & Syllabus:
The written exam would consist of 100 Objective type questions, each question weighing 1 mark. This 100 mark question paper has to be answered in 1 hour. There is negative marking -0.25 for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying mark is 35 mark for General & 20 marks for reserved category candidates.
