Let us start that with an analysis of the ISAT exam pattern.
ISAT consists of 75 Objective type questions – 25 each from in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics which has to be answered in 3 hours. Each correct answer gives you 3 marks, while the wrong answer gives you -1. With this, the pattern of ISAT is as given at right.
ISAT is a comparatively new exam – the first ISAT was conducted only in 2010. So it is still

evolving and there may be some changes in forthcoming years in the pattern –say for suppose in ISAT 2013. The exam pattern given above is based on ISAT 2011. But in ISAT 2010, there were two exam papers with 40 questions each and the paper pattern was as given at left.
As you can see, there some minor variations in the number of questions asked in each subject – overall pattern remains the same: equal number of questions from each of the three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. So do not be bothered very much about distribution of questions – prepare for each subject equally.
