But before that hope you know what is an Intelligence Bureau (IB) – for those who does not here is a small synopsis to begin with.
IB is India's internal intelligence agency (the external intelligence agency being RAW-Research and Analysis Wing) under ministry of home affairs, Govt. of India. Its basic function is to garner intelligence from within India and also execute counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism tasks. Its employee consists of those from law enforcement agencies, mostly from the Indian Police Service and the military.
IB is headed by Director Intelligence Bureau (a senior IPS officer). Its Employee strength is believed be around 25,000. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer in Grade-II for which this recruitment advertisement has been made is a Non-Gazetted Group 'C' Officer, equivalent to a Sub-inspector.

You have to submit your online form for IB Security Assistant Recruitment 2012, against that IB branch (called Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau), for which you know (i.e. read, write and speak) the local language/dialect.
These positions are stated to be temporary but are likely to continue indefinitely.
Salaries for IB Security Assistant:
Intelligence Bureau is offering salary in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- and Grade pay Rs. 2000/- (plus usual Central Govt. allowances) for Security Assistant (Executive) positions.
Eligibilities for IB Security Assistant:
Age Eligibility: (as on 4th December, 2011 – last date of application)
Max: 27 years.
Age relaxations exists as per Govt rule.
Academic Qualification Eligibility:
1.0 Minimum Matriculation(Class X) or equivalent.
2.0 Should be able to Read, Write and Speak the local language/dialect of that SIB for which you are applying. You can find the list of these languages alongside vacancy positions of SIBs in the notification.
Besides the above eligibility, its desirable to have field experience in intelligence work.
Selection process for IB Security Assistant positions:
