 FCI (Food Corporation of India) have just issued recruitment notification 2012 for a huge requirement of 3598 Assistant Grade III, 35 Assistant Grade II & 122 Typist positions for its five zones.
This steep hike in number of recruits in FCI in the recent times suggests FCI is taking effort to bring in a change in its organizational structure, infusing young and technical blood in the organisation – hope you are aware of the criticism FCI had to go though because of news item like this, which caught everyone’s eye.
This blog post summarizes the recruitment notification issued separately by five FCI zones for the Assistant Grades positions in 2012 – telling you about the important FCI exam/form dates, the eligibilities required and the application forms. FCI Assistant Grade Salary: Salary for Assistant Grade III positions: pay scale of Rs. 9300-22940.
Eligibilities for FCI : Age eligibility for Assistant Grade III positions: Max.: 27 years as on 01.01.2012. Age eligibility for Assistant Grade II positions: Max.: 28 years as on 01.01.2012. Age eligibility for Typist positions: Max.: 25 years as on 01.01.2012.
Academic Qualification eligibility: Eligibility ASSISTANT GRADE III (General & Depot): Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.
Eligibility ASSISTANT GRADE III (Accounts) Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.
ASSISTANT GRADE III (Technical): (i) B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University OR B.Sc. with any of the following subjects from a recognized University: Botany/Zoology/Bio-Technology/Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science OR B.Tech./BE in Food Science/Food Science & Technology/Agricultural Engineering/Bio-Technology from a recognized University/an institution approved by AICTE. (ii) Proficiency in use of Computers.
(1) Degree of a recognized University with Hindi as the main subject. (2) Proficiency in English. (3) One year experience of translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa. Desirable:-Post Graduate qualification in Hindi.
Typist (Hindi) positions: 1. Graduation or equivalent. 2. 30 W.P.M speed in Hindi Typing. 3. Preference will be given to the candidates knowing by-lingual typing( English and Hindi) and Computer

sir, i have filled the form of fci for grade 3(accountants, clerks, depot). but i received the admit card for grade 2 and typewriters.
