NIC Recruitment vacancies 2011:
Category-wise vacancy positions for Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB (Programmer) is:
SC : 6; ST : 9; OBC : 16; UR : 31, Total: 62.
NIC Eligibility for Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB (Programmer):Age Eligibility: (As on last date of application: 05/08/2011)
Min: 18, Max: 30 years.
Academic Qualification Eligibility: (as on 05/08/2011)
(a) Min. 60% in B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science/Computer related areas OR
(b) M.Sc in Computer Science with first class or at least 60% marks or equivalent OR
(c) Min. 60% with Master’s degree in Physics/Maths/Statistics/Operation Research with either PG Diploma (Computer Science) or at least 3 years experience in the areas indicated under Job Description.
Salary for Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB:
NIC is offering salary for these Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB positions pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 (PB2) Grade Pay 4600 with usual allowances like DA, HRA etc.
Total emoluments with above pay scale comes to Rs.33,439/-p.m. approx in metros.
Job Description for NIC Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB:
Design, development, implementation and maintenance of software and systems for various Government Departments / Organizations. Technical support to various areas relating to Data Centre Management, such as System Administration, Database Administration, Storage Systems Management, Networking, Data Security etc.
Selection process for NIC Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB:
The selection process consists of a written test (to be either an online or a paper-based test) followed by personal interview. to be held on
