Established in 1958, HEC is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt. of India. Salaries for HEC Apprentices/trainees:
Salary for All India Trade Test passed Apprentice (consolidated wage)
1st year per month: Rs.7,500/-, 2nd year per month: Rs.8,500/-
Salary for ITI passed Apprentice (consolidated wage)
1st year per month: Rs.7,000/-, 2nd year per month: Rs.8,000/-.
After the two-year successful completion of training, All India Trade Test passed Apprentices are absorbed as Grade ’E’ employee with Pay- Scale: Rs. 4540-104-5268-110-6698/- while ITI passed Apprentices are absorbed as Grade ’F’ employee with Pay- Scale: Rs. 4440-93-5091- 98-6365/-.
Eligibility for HEC Apprentices/trainees:
Age Eligibility: Max. 30 years as on 1st May 2011.
Academic qualification Eligibility:
1.0 You must have passed Class-X or Matriculation.
2.0 You must have passed either ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or AITT (All India Trade Test).
For Boiler Attendant, in addition to above qualification, certificate of service under Boiler Attendants’ Rules is also required
Experience requirement Eligibility as on 1st May 2011:
Minimum 3 years experience after acquiring the educational qualification.
Preference shall be given to persons who have working experience on heavy machines, equipments, large foundries and forgings related work for minimum 50 months.
Selection process for HEC Apprentices/trainees:
Selection process would consist of trade test and interview.
