AIEEE 2011 Counseling Dates & Process

May 12, 2011

AIEEE 2011 Counseling Dates Process
Dates for AIEEE 2011 Counseling has already been announced by Central Counseling Board with the process set to roll from 11th June, 2011, just few days after AIEEE 2011 result is announced on 7th June, 2011.

With the conclusion of AIEEE 2011 just yesterday (amidst a lot of confusion following AIEEE 2011 paper leak), the question now in every AIEEE examinees mind is what next? When and how would you get the best combination of college & branch, based on your rank? It is for this reason that this blog post is made to help you make the AIEEE 2011 counseling process easier.

It is needless to say that you should spend a good amount of time in understanding the AIEEE counseling process. Why? Because if you are not aware of the same, you might risk loosing a better seat what could have been yours.

AIEEE counseling consists of an elaborate process, consisting of five rounds of allotment sessions with an added round of spot registration. For the person who goes through all the round, the process would last from 11th June to 14th August, 2011. Imagine the hardship you must be thinking that you would go through. Is it so? No.

Actually, AIEEE counseling process has become much easier after the introduction of ONLINE counseling sessions. To understand the process of AIEEE counseling, just click here to download the AIEEE 2011 process flow, which gives you the steps of AIEEE counseling date-wise. As you can see in this booklet, what you have to do is coloured blue, while what CCB is doing through the website is coloured green as given below:AIEEE 2011 Counseling Process
AIEEE 2011 Counseling Registration:
After the AIEEE 2011 result is announced on 7th June, please visit this AIEEE 2011 CCB website on 11th June, 2011, register yourself for AIEEE 2011 counseling with following data (as indicated in your AIEEE Admit Card):
(a) Name
(b) Roll number
(c) Application number
(d) Date of Birth.
After you register yourself, option would be displayed to you for filling your choice of options – Institute & Branches. You can submit these details and edit these choices any number of times, within 23rd June. On 23rd June, 2011 you have to LOCK your choices. If you do not do it, system will lock the choices automatically on 23rd June.

Mock AIEEE 2011 Counseling
This period from June 11th to June 23rd would be the most interesting period. Why? Because this is the session of Mock AIEEE 2011 Counseling. Just like you, all the AIEEE examines would fill their choices and based on number of seats available in the institutes, you can have an idea of the seats that may be offered. This indicative seat availability will be displayed at regular intervals during Mock AIEEE 2011 Counseling and you can keep on changing your choices anytime – but only till 23rd June. On 25th June, the first round of seat allotment would be displayed in AIEEE website.

AIEEE 2011 allotment of seats:
Seat allotment is done in many rounds.
In the first round, all the seats will be allotted to the candidates and the result indicating the institution and the branch allotted will be available on the website.

In the second and third rounds, seats will be allotted against the available vacancies in the respective rounds, and the results will be available on the web site. In the second and third rounds, no fresh choice filling will be permitted; registered candidates will not be allowed to alter or resubmit their choices.

After the third round, all the candidates who have been allotted seats (in whichever round) will have to report to the Admission Center (Option I candidates and all those candidates allotted a seat for the first time in the third round) and / or to the Allotted Institute (all Option II and III candidates).

Best wishes, budding Engineers & Architects!
