What is a LIC DSE job: Direct Sales Executives (DSE) in LIC are contractual jobs, appointed for a period of 3 years. At the end of the 3 year term, the contract may be extended further, depending on your performance. The job involves marketing LIC polices – selling new polices as well as servicing existing ones and hence needs extensive travelling.
Some people confuse LIC DSE jobs with LIC Agents job – however the two are completely different, the only similarity is the contractual nature of both the jobs and that both markets LIC policies. The eligibility/qualification requirement for LIC agents is far less than LIC DSE jobs. The minimum educational qualification required for LIC agents is only Class-XII while for LIC DSE jobs you need to be a graduate. Also, while you get paid in commission basis (without any fixed salary) as an LIC agent, there is a minimum monthly salary for LIC DSE jobs – at present it is around Rs. 25,000/per month.
