This blog post focuses on providing you the study materials for RBI Executive Intern Exam: the sample papers and books with a discussion on the written exam pattern.
Having said that let us go on to explore RBI Executive Intern Written Exam.
RBI Executive Intern Exam Pattern/Selection Process: RBI Executive Intern selection process consists of two stages: Written test followed by Interview. The final merit list is decided based on the aggregate of marks obtained in the Written test as well as the Interview.
RBI in its exam notification, has not said much about the pattern of written exam except that it would consist of following 4 papers for a total of 200 marks, which has to be answered within 3 hours: 1. General Awareness 2. English Language 3. Quantitative Aptitude. 4. Reasoning. It has not said much about how many questions would be asked in which paper. But above exam plan (the four papers and the total mark and exam duration) is very similar to any Bank PO exams, as you could find from a recent Syndicate Bank PO exam, which had the section-wise distribution of marks as below: Kindly note that above pattern is only indicative, just to give you some idea - there are differences like there is no computer proficiency paper in RBI exam. Also in RBI Intern exam, test of English language may not be for qualifying purpose unlike Syndicate Bank.
RBI in its exam notification, has also not said about whether there would be negative marking. But it is safe to assume in your preparation stage that there is negative marking for wrong answers.
RBI Executive Intern Exam cut-off: You have to pass each of the four objective tests individually, cut-off for which would be decided by RBI based on relative performance of all candidates taken together. On top of that, you need to be sufficiently high in the merit list to be called for the interview.
