  ASRB (Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board) of ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) had few days back issued recruitment notification for 367 Scientists / Programme Coordinator among other positions and you can apply for these positions till 23rd August (7th September for remote areas), 2010.

What is ICAR: Indian Council of Agricultural Research is the apex body for co-ordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture including horticulture, fisheries and animal sciences in the entire country. ICAR ASRB Scientist/ Programme Coordinator salaries: Salaries being offered by ICAR for these Scientists / Programme Coordinator position is: Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay : Rs. 8,000/- (with minimum pay of Rs.22,320).
ICAR ASRB Scientist/ Programme Coordinator Selection process: Based on your qualifications as submitted during the application, ASRB is going to shortlist the candidates for a personal interview. The selection would be based on Interview alone.
Eligibilities for ICAR Scientist/ Programme Coordinator: Age Eligibility: (as on 23.08.2010) Max. 47 years. Relaxations exist as per Govt. rule. Academic Eligibility: These positions needs M. Sc./ Doctoral degree in the relevant disciplines corresponding to the ICAR location you are applying. ICAR ASRB Recruitment Application forms 2010: Application Fee is Rs. 500/- to be paid in the form of a crossed demand draft in favour of Secretary, ASRB payable at New Delhi. For candidates applying from abroad, the fee is US $20 in the form of International Bank Draft. No application fee is required to be paid by SC/ST Candidates. ICAR ASRB Interview Questions: The selections to the ICAR ASRB Scientist positions would be based on Interview alone and hence your chances of getting the ICAR job would depend on how you would perform in the interview, apart from your own qualifications.
