How to download .rar files for free from RapidShare

Want to download some files from rapidshare.com and confused how to do it? This is a small pictorial tutorial to show you how to download rapidshare files with a .rar file download example.

The file to download is: http://rapidshare.com/files/106398341/Copy_of_TTA_EXAM_PAPER_2007.rar


At first enter the location of the file in your browser (IE, FF or Chrome) and hit enter as shown:

You are shown the following page, in which click “Free user”.

If you want to download from rapidshare for free, you need to wait in que to download the files and this could take you some 60 second as shown below:
After this wait time (for free users), the page refreshes automatically and following screen appears, in which click download as shown below:

On clicking the download button, following pop-up screen appears, in which choose “Save File” and click button “OK” as shown below:

So you are done now: the files would be saved to your computer.

But if you have downloaded the “.rar” file, do you have “Winrar” application to open the file? If you do not have, you simply can not open .rar files.


How to download and install “Winrar” application:
Use the URL as shown below or just click here to visit the download section of Winrar :

Choose the best Winrar version (WinRAR 3.80 here) as shown and click it as shown:

A pop-up box appears, in which choose “run” as shown:


Winrar application would be downloaded and installed in your computer with above steps.

After installing the Winrar application, to open the any .rar files just double-click it.
