BSNL Exam Forms/Notification: TTA, JTO & MT

There are only a few cases in which BSNL goes for recruitment centrally like Management Trainees (MT). In most cases, the recruitment is done at the BSNL Telecom Circle levels.

Where do you get information about the notification of these BSNL exams? Where these BSNL exam forms are available? This is the subject matter of this blog post which tells you where to look for the exam notifications and application forms for these BSNL exams.

BSNL has twenty-four telecom circles – mostly each circle represents one state, except for a few telecom circles like North East-I & II Telecom Circles, both of which covers entire NE India, except Assam. Also, there are states in which there are two BSNL telecom circles – like UP(E), UP (W) telecom circles for the state of Uttar Pradesh. And you should check the websites of the BSNL telecom circle to which your state belongs to.

RRB Patna & Muzaffarpur Exam: How to apply online

RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur has recently issued a joint notification (Employment Notice No. RRB/PAT/1/2008-09 & RRB/MFP/1/2008-09) for approximately 3200 vacancies of Stenographer, Assistant Station Master, Jr. Engineer etc.

Click here to download this RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur Exam Notification. The notification gives in detail how many vacancies are available against which positions, eligibilities and scale of pay.

Last Date for application is 15.12.2008 (17.30 hrs.).

This blog post tells you in detail how to apply online for the RRB Patna & Muzaffarpur Exam. At first, let me tell you that online registration for both RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur are done in the same website (www.rrbpatna.org) as on date. It is only when after registering, you apply online to various vacancies, that you apply online separately for RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur.

Thus on-line application for RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur is done in two stages:
Stage-1: Registration.
Stage-2: Online application.
As on today (i.e. 25th November, 2008) online application has not been opened. It is supposed to be opened within a week. But even now, you can register online and use this registration data to apply online for exam later.

How to register online for RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur:
1.0 At first use the following URL to go to RRB Patna website as shown or just click here to register for RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur:


2.0 On the page shown, click on Register button as shown or just click here:


3.0 You are shown the following page in which you need to create your profile by entering your data:
After entering your details click "submit registration" button at bottom as shown:
4.0 You would be shown the following page in which your ten-digit registration no. & password would be shown. Note down these numbers as this would be required for applying online for all RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur exams. If you had made any mistake in your registration, you can also correct the same later on by editing your profile using these registration no. & password. So keep these in a safe place.
Thus you have registered online successfully for both RRB Patna & RRB Muzaffarpur.
Your ten-digit registration no. starts with 2608, where “26” starts for “RRB Patna” and “08” stands for “2008” i.e. year in which your registered.

Now, whenever you apply on-line for RRB Muzaffarpur exams, your registration no. on the application form would be printed automatically as starting with “25” (instead of “26” for RRB Patna exams), signifying you have applied for RRB Muzaffarpur exams. You do not have to do anything and your registration no. & password remains same for both the RRB’s.

IIT-JEE exam centre cities: State/Town-wise

Which are the cities/towns in which IIT-JEE 2009 is going to be held? Find the list of IIT-JEE exam centre cities as below, reproduced from IIT-JEE 2009 information brochure. These are also the cities/towns in which future JEE exams (say IIT-JEE 2010/2011) are likely to be held, which may be used by aspirants of future JEE exams for reference purpose. The three digit numbers following the cities/town name is the JEE exam centre code.

Also, can you change your preference for choice of exam cities/town, after applying in IIT-JEE exam (“Item 9: Choice of Examination Cities” of application form)? Yes, you can. But only for a valid reason, under some conditions. How to change choice of Examination Cities post- IIT-JEE application is given at the bottom end of the post.

How to change choice of Examination Cities post- IIT-JEE application:
Requests for a change of centre within a city is not entertained.
However, under exceptional circumstances, a change of centre within the zone or outside the zone may be permitted, if an application with valid reasons for the same is received on or before March 28, 2009 along with a draft for Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PD candidates) drawn in favour of “Chairman, JEE” of the concerned IIT. The application should be sent to the IIT where the candidate applied originally. In this regard, the decision of the Chairman, JEE-2009 will be final.

As told in the beginning of the post, these JEE exam centre city/towns can also be used by JEE-2010, JEE-2011 aspirants for reference purpose as JEE-2010/JEE-2011 exam centre city/towns as it is very less likely to change.

Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE exam

Before applying for AIEEE, you must at first check if you have the eligibilities for appearing in AIEEE. These eligibilities are as follows:

1.0 AIEEE Academic eligibilities:
You need to pass (Class XII) or its equivalent, referred to as qualifying examination.

The list of qualifying examination is listed below:
i) The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as CBSE, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi
ii) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
iii) Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
iv) Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
v) H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
vi) A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
vii) 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

If you are studying in the final year of 10+2 (Class XII) or equivalent examination as listed above, you can appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission. You need to provide the proof of passing the exam later.

2.0 Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination:
Further to AIEEE Academic eligibilities as given above, you need to have following subject combinations required at 10 + 2 level (or equivalent qualifying examination):

For appearing in AIEEE Paper-1 (For B.E & B. Tech.):
Compulsory subject: Physics & Mathematics.
Optional subject: Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology.

For appearing in AIEEE Paper-2 (For B.Arch. / B. Planning.):
Compulsory subject: Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate at 10 + 2 level.

3.0 AIEEE Age eligibilities:
You must be maximum 24 years old on the 1st October of the year of notification. For instance, for AIEEE-2011 (with the notification coming out in November end 2010); your date of birth should be October 01, 1986 or later. This age is relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST and PH students.
AIEEE accepts your date of birth only as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University certificate as authentic.

4.0 You can appear for AIEEE exam for maximum of three times.
You should have passed +2 exam in 2010, 2011 or appearing for +2 in 2012. If you had passed +2 in 2009 or before or if you would appear in 2013, you are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2012.

5.0 Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear in AIEEE.
