Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE exam

Before applying for AIEEE, you must at first check if you have the eligibilities for appearing in AIEEE. These eligibilities are as follows:
1.0 AIEEE Academic eligibilities: You need to pass (Class XII) or its equivalent, referred to as qualifying examination.
The list of qualifying examination is listed below: i) The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as CBSE, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi ii) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University. iii) Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. iv) Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. v) H.S.C. Vocational Examination. vi) A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. vii) 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
If you are studying in the final year of 10+2 (Class XII) or equivalent examination as listed above, you can appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission. You need to provide the proof of passing the exam later.
2.0 Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination: Further to AIEEE Academic eligibilities as given above, you need to have following subject combinations required at 10 + 2 level (or equivalent qualifying examination):
For appearing in AIEEE Paper-1 (For B.E & B. Tech.): Compulsory subject: Physics & Mathematics. Optional subject: Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology.
For appearing in AIEEE Paper-2 (For B.Arch. / B. Planning.): Compulsory subject: Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate at 10 + 2 level.
3.0 AIEEE Age eligibilities: You must be maximum 24 years old on the 1st October of the year of notification. For instance, for AIEEE-2011 (with the notification coming out in November end 2010); your date of birth should be October 01, 1986 or later. This age is relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST and PH students. AIEEE accepts your date of birth only as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University certificate as authentic.
4.0 You can appear for AIEEE exam for maximum of three times. You should have passed +2 exam in 2010, 2011 or appearing for +2 in 2012. If you had passed +2 in 2009 or before or if you would appear in 2013, you are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2012.
5.0 Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear in AIEEE.
