You may be wondering at times while going through this blog that some of its content have been reproduced, which is already available in the original website. Say for instance “Schedule”, “Syllabus”, “Exam Pattern/Scheme of Exam”, “Eligibility and how to apply” etc.
These exam details had already been published by the body (institute/organisation) who notifies about the exam. Say for Combined Medical Services Examination, all exam details are available in UPSC website. Than why is it being reproduced in this blog?
There are two reasons: First is: in many cases the notification itself is very haphazard. You have to go through the content twice or more to find all the relevant details. In other words, the notifications are issued as an official document. Hence it very seldom is user friendly. On the other hand, people who need this info would have liked the details to be more organized.
For instance, when you go to designated Post Office to buy the UPSC forms for Combined Medical Services Examination, you should also buy the Central Recruitment Fee Stamp as well as the AD with a postage stamp of Rs. 6/-. But same thing is not mentioned at the same place in the notification. The result is either you miss out something and send the form incomplete or else you may have to visit the Post Office again.
Pure inconvenience is not it?
Second reasons is: What if a person wants to know say what is a Combined Medical Services Examination for reference purpose? Say he wants to appear in a future date and therefore wants to find the eligibilities, exam pattern and other exam details.. Now if the notification is taken off after the exam from exam-notifying agencies website (say UPSC website for CMS exam), these info are no more available to him.
Therefore for the purpose of Convenience and Reference the exam details are being reproduced at this blog. Hope this reproduction is not perceived as an instance of copying by. you! |
